Nope. It cures everything, its only side-effect is serenity. Try it, and get back to us.

Nope, no side effects and no known OD's. Start with 1000mg twice a day and increase as needed.

There are better ways than using drugs:

Brain tissue is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are of vital importance within cell membranes and in connections between nerves.8
Low dietary intake of beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), is linked to depressed mood, hostility, and impulsive behavior.7,9,10
High intake of EPA and DHA is associated with increased gray matter volume in brain regions controlling depression and mood.11
Low levels of omega-3 fatty acids are linked to poor performance on cognitive and memory tests, and more rapid cognitive decline with aging.13,14 High intake of omega-3 fatty acids during pregnancy is associated with better neurodevelopmental outcomes later in childhood.19,20
In controlled clinical studies, depressed patients randomly assigned to receive omega-3 fatty acids have demonstrated greater improvement compared with those assigned to placebo.33,34

Well, 41 is the wrong answer.

Not quite two years ago, I was hit by Guillain Barré Syndrome (immune system runs amok and attacks central nerve system). One of the effects of GBS is nerve pain. I have it mostly in my feet. Flashes of pain, sort of like an electric shock, that come out of nowhere, give a zap, and disappear.

My wife is a big believer in natural stuff; she recommended that I take a Fish, Flax, & Borage Oil capsule, containing Omega 3-6-9 every day. I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try. The nerve pain flashes are now much less frequent, and when they do occur they are not as severe as they were.

Is it the Omega-3 fatty acid? Is it just Mother Nature using the passage of time as a healing agent? Who knows? Bottom line is, my situation has improved.

You have to realize that doctors do not get any education in nutritional supplements which is a shame. But there are doctors that are more concerned with their patients so they look into other ways to help their patients.

There is a lot of information in the Medical Journals from studies but most doctors fail to continue their education. This applies to all professions as I was a Communications System Engineer and read all the free trade magazines and had an extensive file on engineer designs taken from the trade magazines. When I retired, I took three pickup loads of information to the dump consisting of 15 to 17 1.5 cubic boxes containing all my notes and reports.

So why do I post this information when I never get any thanks but lots of criticism? My brother and father both had bad doctors with my brother passing away at age 40 with liver cancer because some doctor prescribed prednisone for an extended period of time. While my father had five specialist doctors, only one was any good while the others contributed to shortening his life.

Here is a recent article by Dr. Mercola on "Do We Really Need Opioids for Pain?"

EPA Refuses to Ban Neurotoxic Pesticide Found in 87 Percent of Newborns

https://articles.mercola.com/s...709&et_rid=127122415

If the FDA did their job, lots of the chemicals used in our food chain would be eliminated. There have been over 180K new chemicals developed since WWII. Just an example is RoundUp and the chemical being found in the new born and the mothers blood. Just think how long it will be before out drinking water will be unsafe to drink long term without some kind of filtering.
