I am worried about buyer's remorse.
I don't mean to be a snob, but I am used to higher end cars than the Escape, so I am a little worried.
There were more reasons than just the "old" me involved here.
I do think I will like it, especially after the tune.
Cars have changed a lot in 13 years, probably.

Then again, while I won't own just anything, I will happily drive most anything and have never had a problem doing that.

I used my youngest daughter's 2000 Subaru Forester just the other day.

Well if you don't like it, I'm sure it would be a huge upgrade for your youngest daughter!!!

I was impressed with the 2015 Escape SE youngest just received.

It's been so long since I had a small vehicle.
But I really need small and nimble, and the tailgate thing.

I have to adapt in many ways these days, and I will adapt to my Escape.
The fit is good for me and my needs IMO.

When it comes to vehicles, this one makes so much sense.

Youngest popped a sidewall of a front tire on her Escape.
We are 25K on the original OEM Continetals, her baby will be here anytime, so I defaulted to the Michelin A/S 3+ and she is good to go.
Tires are 235/55/17.

It will be interesting to see and feel these tires in action because the 18in version will go on my new Escape.

I just spent the last two days driving my wife's Escape while my F150 was in the shop. Picked up the truck today and I was like where is the bottom end. I had kind of snickered at her - now I need boost for my 5-OH.

Why not.
I have a Whipple on my Coyote.

Am I to ascertain you enjoyed the Escape?

I know it is basically the same block and can handle lots of boost - I think I have just been milking the whole warranty thing. But I am going to give it some thought.

Yes, the warranty, it's always something holding us back.

Congrats lbj. I like my 2016 escape a lot. I like it even more since it was $15,000!? less than yours. I know mine's a base with no turbo, but omg. Likely the last new new car I ever get. Enjoy!

Pretty lame excuse isn't it - not long ago the truck was fine, towed what I needed. I drive a 4 cyl Escape and now the truck needs turbo's.

Yes, I did enjoy the Escape. The only thing is where the fan switch, radio knob and temp settings are. I get them mixed up from what my brain thinks it should be. I go to turn up the radio and the temp changes. Go to turn up the fan and the radio gets louder. Finally it's like hey use the screen it's all there.

Uh oh.

The tracking site no longer shows my vehicle and attempting to re acquire the window sticker at the McMahon Ford site shows the VIN invalid.

Geez, I hope it's still coming.

That is what Ford does when your vehicle falls off the transport and is in the body shop.....

Just kidding.

Enjoy the new ride.

I wonder if the malware attacks this weekend caused Ford's system to not being able to find it.

I hope Ford didn't reroute it to someone else and pull the VIN.
I wouldn't think that happened.

I had a little with my 2016 fusion. It had been 15 years since we had purchased a vehicle new with zero miles. In the meantime one of my more favored daily drivers was a 540i M-sport. Fit and finish were excellent and the drive amazing.

Fit and finish of body/plastic paneling and interior trim on the fusion....are not amazing. The vehicle has the kinds of gaps that would give someone concern of a possible previous accident repair.

My 2016 F250 platinum, the entire paint job has orange peel. Some interior pieces on the truck broke on the drive home from the dealership. Not the quality I expected from an $80K truck.

The fusion has already had the entire rack & pinion replaced (at 12K miles), along with the drivers seat motors. If we didn't live less than a mile from a Ford dealership, that would have been a lot more of an inconvenience. It's been at the shop for warranty work for a total now of 1 month in the 20 months we've owned it.

We've already decided that the fusion will be sold before the warranty expires.

I hope I don't have that experience.

The Escape is showing once again at Ford's site.

I have the opposite effect going from my 2.7TT F150 to my wife's NA 3.5 Flex. Have to remember to wring it out a bit more in her Flex, makes me miss all that low end torque in the truck.

I talked with the dealer today.
It's on the rail to Cheyenne and then Denver.

The date they have for delivery is May 23rd, but it may be sooner.
