Agreed on above. My 2.7EcoBoost definitely doesn't engine brake very well.
Different story when towing our parachute of a cargo trailer.

lbj, do you happen to know how much your air/fuel ratio changed with the new tune? I ask because I've been considering doing some tuning on my Tacoma (with a piggyback device) and am told the factory tune is very conservative on Tacomas as well. Most run pretty rich, especially at our Colorado altitudes.

I don't.
All I know is that the tune was for sea level and the car adjusts for it.
And quite well.

As far as running rich, hard to tell with my turbo.
Turbos leave lots of carbon on the exhaust tips.

Just added a set of the Pilot Sport AS3+ on our Flex. Combined with a 4wheel alignment (front toe was way off) it is a nice upgrade over the Nitto Motivos that were on it before.
Thanks for the push on those, your positive review & the glowing reviews on tirerack made swiping the card easier.

I am happy to hear you like them.
For urban warrior vehicles, they are pretty decent.
Whatever makes normal street tires grip so well also seems to add a little noise. That's been my experience the last 44 years.
Therefore, I don't find that unusual.

I have been running the Livernois tune now for a thousand miles.
No error codes and no problems with how The Great Escape runs.

In other words, a post about a lack of anything abnormal, which is good news.

Good to hear! I need to get around to giving LMS a call to look at a tune for my F150. From what I've read, a 93 performance tune puts the 2.7EcoBoost right at about 400lb/ft torque.

Also finally got to take the Flex for a drive with the AS3+, not any noisier than the Nitto we have on it before & the ride/grip is quite nice.

So far The Great Escape is trouble free and running perfectly at 2500 miles.

I'm loving my little bean can Ford.
This thing is quick with the tune.
I just have to go quick, I really do.

So I have these lights where fog lights normally are.
I don't drive at night typically, I have a hard time seeing when oncoming headlamps hit me.

I was in a parking lot and when I turn the wheel right or left, the appropriate "fog" lamp lights up.

That's a nice feature to see where your turning.

My 8100 miles has been put on in less than 3 years. I drive the hell out of it doing sales calls in the SF Bay Area.

I have never tried the self parallel parking. Have you?

Congrats on the tune. Thanks for the kick in the pants. I am hovering on what to buy for the wifes Focus RS. I think i will end up with new intercooler and related piping. Then possibly either a mountune or a Tune+ tune using a cobb access port. This will allow me to do some serious data logging.

Mine is a canned tune but it runs super smooth.
Factory tunes are the same way.
The Shelby was dyno tuned so it's unique to the vehicle.
Is that what you are doing?

I have not tried the self parallel parking, not sure I ever will.
If I need that, I have one heck of a neck or back problem.
If I don't have any ailments, if I cannot parallel park, I should not be driving.

BTW and on that same note:
I have always been of a mind that if anyone has a panicked look on their face while driving around, they should have their license revoked.

It is some what inbetween. You recieve a canned/off the shelf tune. Run a set of stock data logs and save them. Then install the tune, run a set of more 3rd and 4th gear pulls from 2000 to 6000rpm. Log that data. Send copies of the three data logs back. Recieve an updated tune via email. Install it, run the 3rd and 4th gear data log pulls till you end uo at a final tune. Should you add anything, intercooler, piping, air intake, exhaust etc then you can send in new logs and get it updated.

Since i will not be driving most of the time, i want to be able to log as much of what goes on when i am driving. To make sure it fits our needs. There is a bit of heat soak with the rs when you are in hot weather with 2 to 6k pulls.

This is primarily what i am looking at for starters.
https://adamtuned.com/collecti...cus-rs-power-package

367 whp and 400 wtq. The torque seems to be the limiting factor for this engine. Stock is usually 290ish whp and 325 wtq. It gets a bit fuzy becaus of how the rs awd works. There is no way to put them on a awd dyno and get actual results. The ecu has conniptions. So most put them in a fwd dyno mode. Although all wheel drive hp drive train loss is only about 2% more than fwd only

I am still enjoying the Great Escape BTW some 5 months and 5K miles later.
I just had the first oil change last week.

I am doing 300HP and lifetime fuel mileage is 24.3 on premium.

The only thing that I don't like is how loud the suspension and shocks are.
Well, that and the small stone chip on the driver door. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Other than that, it's a good fit for me.

The Livernois tune has functioned flawlessly and it really makes the car better.

I did spend Saturday detailing the entire car.
Given my health, I am tired today and paying for it a bit.
The good news is that I could even do it!

I just turned 88,000 miles today lbj..

My check engine light came on recently and has been diagnosed as a sensor in the gas line somewhere.

It's going in on Friday to get fixed.

I think it was caused because it's dirty as hell Wink and you cleaned yours Eek

Everyone knows clean cars run better, right?

No on the car seat.
I wanted to get one but daughter wants to drive everywhere so the idea was nixed.
