Looks nice, I like the color. In for the report on the Livernois tune and your other mods you have planned.

First up, the Michelin Latitude tires come off and Michelin A/S 3+ go on.

Then a break in period.

Livernois tune next with a cooler thermostat as apparently the tune creates heat.

Love the Color LBJ.

The jacket fit is very well done for OWB carry.

Oh and I love the hat also.

Looks good, like the color.

On tires, you might already know this, but some dealers will give a full credit on those new take offs if you buy your replacement set from them. Here we have Discount Tire and they will do it. Even with a few miles on them. I did this a few years ago on a truck I bought out of town. Needed tires before driving back home a few states away. Had a local Ford dealer install a new set. When I got home I decided I wanted AT tires instead of the Hwy tires. Discount gave me a full credit on the Hwy ones for the AT swap. And I have done it on a few other new purchases in the past.

Enjoy that new car smell.

I have been to Gunsite for 4 classes.
The road off the state highway was very rough.

Is it still the same?

Yes, my wife was driving and tried both sides and the middle and could not find any smooth places, although it is not very wide.
It has a chatter in it like the sides of most roads. At least you wont go to sleep driving on it.
Have fun driving your new ride.

Congratulations, it's a nice color.

Down here in South Florida the only colors you see on cars anymore are black, white, and silver.

I took delivery of the Escape about an hour ago.

The wind picked up and the rain started, so I drove home and it's in the garage.

It's as quick as my old 4.4L X5.

Thank you Spradley Barr Ford of Fort Collins, CO.
They complied with every request I made.

I asked that the dealer badge not be put on.
I also asked them that unless they saw something on the paint that required hands on to remove, that they refrain from touching the exterior paint at all.
I asked that they spray wash only and let it dry naturally and water spots were OK.

They did all of the above.
Very nice.

What is the reason behind that?

I don't like dealer badges because they clutter up the back end.

The no washing:
Over time, clear coats get spider web lines and once present, one has to buff them out.
I also cannot count on how how many cars were washed or dried with a chamois before mine and I wished to avoid any dirt being rubbed on the finish.

I never see the spider lines on cloudy days.
However, they are most noticeable on the sides of cars when there is low incidence of the sun.
I hate spider lines in my clear coats.
I almost get sick at the car wash when I see someone with a brand new vehicle and they use the foaming brushes. Just what are the owners thinking?

I have had bad experiences in the past with a BMW dealer.

I normally would have the energy to buff out any spider lines in the clear coat, but given my illness, it just pain hard for me to buff my cars anymore.
I mean I still can, but I need rest about every quarter panel or door.
The medication side effects have caused muscle loss even though I work out, I cannot get muscle back.

So, I adapt, like asking the dealer to let me have the car touch free.
And they happily did so.

I really like that dealer, I have bought a new Mustang GT and 2 Escapes from them in the last 5 years, as well as a used Passat.

I am not saying that Spradley Barr is perfect.
I can say they are better than most that I have dealt with in my lifetime.

I understand the dealer name delete...I do that with every car too...

The washing routine makes sense...just never thought about it, I guess. Thanks...
