Biden plunges, tied with Warren and Sanders in new national poll

A new national poll suggests a three-way tie between Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and former Vice President Joe Biden in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

And the survey – released Monday by Monmouth University – indicates a massive drop for Biden, the front-runner in the nomination race since before he declared his candidacy in late April. It also reflects an increase in support for both Sanders and Warren, the Democratic Party’s two progressive standard-bearers.

Sanders and Warren are both at 20 percent in the poll, with Biden at 19 percent. The former vice president plunged 13 percentage points from the 32 percent he stood in June in Monmouth’s last national poll on the Democratic nomination race. Sanders rose six points from the June poll, with Warren rising five points.

The Biden campaign took aim at the survey, telling reporters "this poll is an outlier that is contradicted by every measure of the national average."

Also today...Biden said on the stump that the tax cuts were not working and that even the Heritage Foundation said the tax cuts didn't help.

Only problem is that the Heritage Foundation has never said any such thing - in fact, they have published numerous articles proclaiming how great the tax cuts were and how they have helped the middle class.

I'm not a fan of her isolationist views or her take on the sanctity of the 2A, but she's the only one in the Dem. crowd that made me stop and want to learn at least a bit more about her. Granted, I'm just a survey sampling of one, but if even a hardfast Rep. like me sees something of general interest in her, they're missing out on a candidate that could be a strong potential lure for the undeclared moderates in the middle, the ones that supposedly can turn an election for a party.

But as you point out, Para, she reportedly doesn't meet the polling requirement set forth by the DNC and so won't be present at the third debate, which clinches her failure in this election cycle. Guess if they want to undermine their chances for victory as Joe "Notorious Gaffemaster B" Biden derails and Warren and Bernie chase the socialist minority of their party and leave the majority behind, more power to 'em...but it sure is a stupefyingly shortsighted way to run an election.
