a bit OT, but the DEMs are going "all in" to secure the black vote

Do they fear a significant part of the black community is realizing that Donald Trump has done more for them, and everybody else, than obama ever did ?

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...ess-systemic-racism/

Senate Democrats are proposing a $350 billion measure designed specifically to “address systemic racism and historic underinvestment in communities of color,” via the Economic Justice Act, which they announced on Thursday.

Democrats view the measure as an “ important down-payment to answer the calls to address systemic racism and historic underinvestment in communities of color.”

The act, unveiled on Thursday, effectively acts as a reparations proposal , with Democrats proposing to “immediately” help minority communities with a $135 billion investment in “child care, mental health and primary care, and jobs.” The remaining $215 billion would be used to address inequality in the long term, devoting the investment to “infrastructure, a homeowner down payment tax credit, Medicaid expansion, and more.” The act lists ten initiatives to “reverse decades of underinvestment” in the communities.

Proposals include reducing rent and utilities “to 30% of income for low-income individuals and families and build new low-income rental properties,” and providing “$15,000 per family to expand access to homeownership” for minority families, specifically.

It also calls for requiring “a greater share of federal community and economic development funding” to go to communities with “‘persistent’ and high poverty rates and create opportunities in federally funded infrastructure projects for local hiring in communities of color and contracts for disadvantaged businesses,” although Democrats consider those”no-cost” policy changes.

“For far too long, Congress has underfunded critical priorities like public health, child care, infrastructure, and job creation in these communities,” the proposal’s summary reads.

“Our new plan would make a historic federal commitment to communities of color through ten major investments over the next five years,” it adds.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

somehow these expensive plans always line the pockets of rich DEMs more than everyday people

Hmmmm, kinda begs the question that if this is soooooooooooooo important, why didn't Barry O and Ole Slo Joe take care of it during the eight years they were in the White House? Trump should eat this BS alive and eviscerate Biden with it.

Uncah Joe getting "muscled" again.

The headline: Biden Says Four Black Women Are On His VP List But Won't Commit To Choosing One

The actual quote: "'I'm not committed to naming any but the people I've named, and among them are four Black women,' Biden said."

Thank goodness for NBC News.

If Joe Biden is elected, the effort to remove him by those now supporting him will begin the day after the election and it will not be as crude as rounding up a Yale psychiatrist to testify to his dementia in Congress or shaming the White House physician to give him the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test in the manner that the Left went after Donald Trump.

It will be far more insidious and successful: leaked stories to the New York Times and Washington Post from empathetic White House insiders will speak of how “heroically” Biden is fighting his inevitable decline—and how gamely he tries to marshal his progressive forces even as his faculties desert him. We would read about why Biden is a national treasure by sacrificing his health to get elected and then nobly bowing out as he realized the cost of his sacrifice on his person and family.

Fundamentally Transforming Everything

What should we expect then if Biden wins and either steps down or more or less is left as a diminished figurehead controlled by the hard Left?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Joe Biden:

"I had nurses at Walter Reed hospital who would bend down and whisper in my ear, go home and get me pillows. They would … actually breathe in my nostrils to make me move, to get me moving.”

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...uring-hospital-stay/

In his 2007 book “Promises to Keep,” he describes passing out in a hotel room in Rochester in February 1988, where earlier that night he had given a speech at the University of Rochester. He recalls a “lightning flashing inside my head, a powerful electrical surge — and then a rip of pain like I’d never felt before.” He was unconscious for five hours. …

A CT scan revealed an aneurysm lying below the base of his brain. Surgery was his best chance of survival.

He underwent a microsurgical craniotomy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The chances of surviving the surgery were 50 percent, but the likelihood of waking up with serious deficits was even more concerning, Biden wrote.

“Maybe I should have been frightened at this point, but I felt calm,” Biden wrote in the book. “In fact, I felt becalmed, like I was floating gently in the wide-open sea. It surprised me, but I had no real fear of dying. I’d long since accepted the fact that life’s guarantees don’t include a fair shake.”

He didn’t make reference to the nostril-breathing medical personnel.

Crystal ball prediction for ya....Trump is once again setting up his opposition for a major fall and/or rake to the face. Trump's recent discussions on FOX about his taking a cognitive test, and the results of that test, are backing ole Slow Joe into a corner from which he cannot escape. If Biden refuses to take a similar test, Trump wins. If Biden takes a similar test and fails, Trump wins. And I'd say the likelihood of ole Slow Joe passing such a test, given what we've all seen of his cognitive skills over the past couple months, is close to zero. Once again, Trump is playing chess while Joe is following the laser pointer up the wall.

One reason for Biden to avoid an open debate is the possibility that someone will ask him what year it is - a "mini-mental exam". Everybody might get to hear him, live, say that he thinks it's 1990 or something equally telling.

Big Grin Not that I really miss Dole, but I'm starting to think there's going to be a little payback for him for the way he was treated when he ran against Bill Clinton. Ol' Joe is going to be on the receiving end of every crack about age and dementia ever coined, whether its at formal debates or anywhere else.

My mother in law had dementia really bad in her last years, and one of the symptoms was that she lost her 'filter.' Meaning, she would tell you what she thought without any sense of tact whatsoever. We had to isolate her from people she didn't like, because otherwise she would simply tell them what she thought about them.

If Slow Joe gets on the debate stage and has to work 'off-script,' then who knows what he'll say. . . That would be VERY entertaining.*

*Now, I have the deepest sympathies for people with dementia/Alzheimer's/etc, but Biden has willingly entered the political arena, and as such, the stakes are far too high to just give him a free pass. If he were to retire today, I would cease all criticism against him. Of course, the democrats won't let that happen.

If there's ONE thing to learn, be aware of, and preach about Biden it's this:

Joe Biden is NOT a leader. He never has been. He's a follower. He wants to be liked. He goes along with the program. He's a Democrat. When the Democrat Party was more 'moderate' Joe was more 'moderate'. Now that the Democrat Party is hard-core leftist, socialist, communist... so is Joe Biden. He's gone full Bernie.

It's not because he's a hard-core leftist, because he's not. He doesn't have the conviction that it takes to be committed to anything but going along with whatever is in vogue at the moment. Joe Biden has been a survivor. He's been around for a long time. Many people think he's a jovial, friendly guy. But he stands for nothing. He appealed during the primaries as a 'moderate'. But he's being led by the nose by the hard-core leftists and, if elected, a Biden Presidency will be the most hard-core leftist Presidency ever.... because that's where the Democrat Party has ended up.

This is the takeaway. Biden has always, throughout his entire career, stood for nothing. Now in the waning days of his life/career, he stands for nothing because he hasn't the comprehension or memory to remember anything. The man is truly an empty vessel at this point.

My concern is that this nation is becoming increasing socialistic, believing they will be in a better financial position (ie, they have a right to live from their neighbor's wallet).

Problem is, per Orwell, all animals are equal, but gov't animals are more equal. The gov't becomes a dictator, which serves self and oppresses the people.

I am a bit surprised how many don't see that.
