"But it gets worse than that." Grammatically proper, slightly more dramatic. "But it's worse than than that" is shorter and therefore carries a little bit more of a punch.

It gets better than that. Governor Newsom came out at a press conference a few days ago and admitted that solar and bunny farts aren't enough to supply California's energy needs (see what happens when San Franciscans try to turn on the air conditioning?) and that California's gonna have to pivot to using more fossil fuels for the indeterminate future. I'm waiting for the announcement that some logging contracts are going to be quietly opened for bids sometime soon.

But I am sure Newsom and his cronies won't go without electricity. Roll Eyes

^^The real issue, is despite all of the above, they have still succeeded in brainwashing a large chunk of the sheeple masses that continuing to vote for them and their fellow D's is the only decent thing to do.

Die of heat exhaustion? Okie Dokie, as long as it isn't anything related to Orange Man Bad!!

Maybe a few weeks without AC and watching politicians eat gourmet ice cream will get a few voters to think 'Hmmm, this isn't going so well...maybe there's a better way...'

Rahm Emanuel "helps" Biden w advice:

'Two things I would say if I was advising a Biden administration, one is no Green New Deal and two is no Medicare for All.'

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/2...twitter&par=sharebar

Emanuel, appearing on “Closing Bell,” said he believes that the former vice president can win over disaffected Republicans with a platform that has moderate language to get behind.

“This will be the year of the Biden Republican,” said Emanuel, citing the appearances of John Kasich, former governor of Ohio, Colin Powell, secretary of State under President George W. Bush, and Cindy McCain, widow of Sen. John McCain, among other GOP members at the Democratic National Convention this week.

The lack of support for a “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for All” in the Democratic platform helps the party balance between the desires of the moderate and more progressive members, Emanuel said on CNBC.

The party, however, is walking a thin line as it tries to satisfy its progressive wing that is looking for transformational policies.

Republicans need to savage people like Colin Powell and Cindy McCain.

Jeff Flake is also backing Biden. Hard to pick the biggest loser from this group.

GOP members they may be, but they're hardly Republicans and they're certainly not conservatives.

(Shakes his head) And how in the hell do they think they'll ever have any buisness being at a Republican convention in the future after having appeared at the Democrat convention to support Biden against the Republican nominee? Are Kristol & Co. planning on starting up their own party or something? Those guys are now gone from Republican circles for good.

Channel surfing around at the top of the hour, made the mistake of stopping on CNN (I know, I know)...literally two minutes into their broadcast and its the usual TDS mudslinging crapshow again...they're not even trying to hide it (not that they have been)...

Last week they practically needed a cigarette after fawning all over the DNC. Do they really expect any of the vast majority of moderate/middle America to watch and think there's any sense of factual reporting, fairness and balance?? The bias is just so blatant... .

One would think they'd want to 'report' to the largest audience (the middle). Instead they want to pander the smaller, farthest-left factions...no wonder their ratings are in the basement.

It's amazing the lies being put forth on social media but the Democrats. Every ad I've seen so far is a flat out lie, or rooted in a lie.

I find it ironic that Nancy Pelosi had admonished Trump for potentially sending police to polling places as it's voter intimidation.

Yet all across the country we see the message "disagree with us or support Trump and we'll steal/destroy your property, beat you, kill you, or burn your car/house/business". But that isn't intimidating at all right?

But as Goebbels taught us, tell a lie big enough, repeat it often enough, the people will believe it. We have some friends, relatives, neighbors, who listen only to left wing media, and fully prove Goebbels was right.

I prefer that phrasing a bit better. A lot of people like me, who would just like to be left alone, are really starting to get pissed over this BS. That is not a good place for these morons to go.

The same liberals who have been preaching for years that we don't need guns, because all we have to do is call the police, are the same ones who are telling us that we need to fund the police.

Considering the choices we have, and all Trump's tried to do for America, Donald could get caught in a cheap motel room with five transvestite hookers, a dozen midgets, circus clowns & a donkey; and he'd still get my vote in November.

I think you mean "DEfund the police.

Curious to me, Pelosi and such upper crust liberals always have hired guns to protect themselves.

Liberals in CA legislature passed a "Student Loan Bill of Rights". IE, those who service student loans (capitalists??) are usually crooked and/or incompetent, CA needs to set the standard for the nation to follow, in protecting student rights. (Maybe the right to not have to pay back your student loan as you learned nothing of value in socialist college and can't find a job???")
