Gillum campaigned in Pensacola yesterday. No, really he did! He spoke at a historically black church and in a field behind a black-owned BBQ stand. I guess he didn't have time for the Rotary Club lunch. Anyway, this morning, scanning news channels, I saw him being interviewed from Key West and paused to watch. Wow, that's really end-to-end state coverage. The CNN anchor actually asked him some pointed questions about his ethics (or lack thereof) and the FBI probe. Gillum was very slick in deflecting and non-answer answers.

Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has cut ties with a campaign aide and vendor who was caught on camera detailing why Gillum can’t deliver on some of his campaign promises.

When questioned by an undercover reporter from Project Veritas Action about whether voters knew this, the aide, identified as Omar Smith, said, “That’s not for them to know,” and insisted that it be kept a secret. He also referred to Florida as an “[expletive] up [expletive] state” and “a cracker state.”

Gillum’s campaign responded by “severing ties” with Smith.

Gillum and Smith went to college together, Smith said. The two “were making a lot of noise” when they attended Florida A&M University, and Gillum was the Student Government Association president in 2001–2002.

Gillum announced his gubernatorial bid in March 2017. That month, Smith became the treasurer of a newly minted political action committee (PAC)—A Better Florida for All—which has the stated goal of “building a war chest to prepare for the gubernatorial election that will be held in 2018.”

The PAC spent about $8,000 and was stripped of its registration on Oct. 25 for a failure to pay a small fine.

While PACs are forbidden to coordinate activities with candidates’ campaigns, PVA found Smith working at Gillum’s campaign office. The campaign stated he was a volunteer and vendor. Records show he was paid $4,500 in July by the Florida Democratic Party.

"Severing ties" my ass. They're basically hiding him out of sight. You know they are still buddies, that they both believe the same shit on the Veritas clip.

But the stench is starting to catch up to Gillum. I wish this all had happened a few weeks ago though. Not sure how much effect it will have between now and election day.

Gillum has TV ads with several Florida sheriffs endorsing him and his promise to fight the NRA gun lobby, among other things.
They need to be voted OUT next cycle.

"All of the endorsers are Democrats, and many noted Gillum’s gun control promises, like an all-out assault weapons ban, and his past victories in court against the National Rifle Association."

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Early voting counts are encouraging in Florida. The Dems are currently up with about 20,000 votes more than Republicans in the early vote (not including absentee ballots), but in 2016 they were up by more than 120,000 votes at this same point in time and Florida still went Red For Trump and Scott by six figures. My whole immediate and extended family has already voted Red early. We potentially have more registered D's on our side and voting Red this time around too, not to mention Independents. For those of you that like waiting until election day to vote (Republicans usually substantially outnumber Dems on voting day), get out there and take whoever you can with you! Let's do this!

Voted Friday, probably first time voted the full Republican party line - but DeSantis over the GDC and Scott vs “walking dead” Nelson are no brainers...

Now they are reporting early votes still coming in and being counted from some counties but "very close". We need EVERYONE to get out there tomorrow that hasn't already voted!

Speaking of "getting out to vote", read the last line in this article. Probably a Democrat.

Broward County trying to do our part!

[Republican Party of Broward County, Florida
22 hrs ago·
Early voting finished yesterday, November 4th: all in, 101,590 Broward Republicans have voted.

Of those who have voted:
61,034 Broward Republicans have Early Voted
40,556 Broward Republicans have Voted-by-Mail

As a comparison, in the last midterm election in 2014, during the entire election, only 25,392 Broward Republicans Early Voted and only 34,657 Broward Republicans Voted-by-Mail, for a total of just 60,049. So we outpaced both of these numbers with many more Vote-by-Mail ballots being returned today and through Election Day.]

Get out there and vote for DeSantis, Scott, and the entire Republican team!

Go Red Florida, GO RED!!!

Way to go Florida!

Governor and Senator Red still despite the Puerto Rico invasions!

Too bad your ex Gov / new Senator went wrong on guns in the wake of the mental health shooting there.

Well done given your choices!

A margin of 0.50 triggers a machine recount. A margin of 0.25 triggers a recount by hand. Not that Scott has anything to worry about. Great strides have been made in monitoring the process after all that "hanging chad" shit in 2000.
