From the commentary section of heyjackass:

Last week, as the Chicago Police Department announced a new use-of-force policy to focus of de-escalation and the sanctity of life, Supt. Eddie Johnson touched on the possibility of an officer being injured by a vehicle. “If a vehicle is coming at an officer and that’s the only threat of force, the officer can get out of the way of it,” Johnson said. Since a speeding, multi-ton vehicle that contains exponentially more kinetic energy than a bullet is not considered a weapon, officers simply need to step aside and let the good citizen through.

... the sanctity of life? Whose life?
Ya... that's what I thought.

The Chicago Police Department is more concerned about getting bad press and getting sued by the thugs than they are concerned about the protection of the law abiding citizen.
So... they put in their time, rack up the big pension, and get the hell out.
If there is no leadership from above, that's what happens.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

Nope, that ain't it either. This problem will only be solved after the black community steps up and fully owns the problem. No more blaming others, no more blaming inanimate objects, no more blaming government, no more blaming history. No one can solve this problem for them. They have to solve it for themselves, and that's going to be a real uphill battle with the race-baiters constantly stirring the victim pot.

It is hopeless here.
The "Law abiding" blacks that I deal with now say the problem is that the Government is causing this as a well planned action to deal with the black community.
These people will parrot anything that somebody tosses at them that will blame somebody else for there problems.
The "government" here does not help by also looking everywhere else to blame something other than the real cause, the people themselves.
Lets blame the:
Police?
White people?
Trump?
Guns?
Surrounding states?
HOPELESS!

Great site....................

That site does a great job of breaking down Chicago violence. Outstanding.
They even collate the data down enough to have a "Shot-in-the-Ass-O-Meter" and a "Shot-in-the-Junk-O-Meter".

There is several main problems but the crime problem could be fixed tomorrow if the local Judges would start doing their job and the states attorney would actually do their job. CPD has the capability to go out and wreck gangs and thugs if only they had support from politicians and backup from the states attorney and judges. It is mind boggling how almost all of the offenders are recent paroles or let out early, etc.
