Slept on a memory foam mattress on a hideabed recently. Not bad. Mine is horrible and was thinking about a feather type pad to throw on it to make it more bearable.

Idea's? Thanks.

I always take the mattress out of the hide a bed sofa, throw it on the floor, and sleep on it there. The ones I have experience with, it's the frame that's the biggest problem with comfort.

Shows how folks are different. I recently stayed at a cottage with a bed with a cushy mattress, and a small hide a bed.

I chose the hide a bed.

We put 2 of the thin blue roll up backpacking sleeping pads between the frame and the mattress. Then added a thin foam pad on top of the mattress that we put on under the sheets after opening the bed. The backpack pads fold up with the bed just fine but the foam pad has to be removed. Not an elegant solution but it works.

Get a memory foam topper for your mattress. Works well for me.
