Why are the loud mouth protesters not being dragged out?

I think they are. It seems to have quieted down.

I’d like to see the Chairman warn the gallery and then DIRECT the po-po to drag them out should they disrupt the hearing.

With all the protests and the last several outbursts, with a coordinated effort, I don't understand why all the observers are not cleared from the chamber.

Anything to stall the confirmation process. I am not much a fan of Mitch McConnell but in these instances he has shown grit and resolve so I don't think the democrats are going to be able to stall until after the mid terms which is their goal.

Guy Benson:

Blumenthal: We need more time to review documents in a deliberative & thoughtful manner.

Blumenthal in July: "Judge Kavanaugh, you don’t belong in this building as a justice...you should not be serving in this building as a Supreme Court justice...I will be a ‘no’ vote."

Some quotes on Kavanaugh from Judiciary Dems -- currently insisting they need more time & docs -- *before* these hearings:

"I will be a 'no'..."
"It doesn't matter who [Trump] is putting forward..."
"I will stop to fight this nomination..."
"I will oppose his nomination..."

Feinstein asks whether Kavanaugh is within the American legal mainstream. He's been unanimously rated "well qualified" by the left-leaning ABA & has served as a hugely influential judge on a hugely influential federal court for 12 years.

https://www.washingtonexaminer...ushed-out-of-hearing

As Democratic senators fought to delay the hearing of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and as spectators jarringly heckled the process Tuesday, his two young daughters were rushed from the hearing room, according to sources.

The two, Margaret and Liza, were taken out by their mother, Ashley, as the hearing got “hot,” said one insider.

“It was very unpleasant for young children,” said the insider.

Shameful and deluded.

Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's family are escorted from his confirmation hearing after red gowned protesters dressed as 'Handmaids' scream and shout at Senate committee.

There pretty much seems to be two options:

Don't show the hearing - which makes it look like Kavanaugh has to be snuck in through some kind of underhanded manipulation

Show the hearing - which will develop hours of footage showing the Dems' crudest attempts at disruption and manipulation for the air war in the coming elections, get Kavanaugh confirmed anyway, and leave some of the most prominent Dems in government exposed as useless and ineffectual.

It's ugly, but the Senate Reps may actually be earning their paychecks.

Just turned on CNN during the lunch break. The CNN staff and all their toadies and lickspittles are pulling out all plugs about Trump’s staff’s hatred for him, and all of them saying he is incompetent, the disarray at the WH, etc. This was as predicable as the sun rising; there no shame in them at all.

I will have to say Ted Cruz did well with his opening remarks. Impressive. I am not a fan of his, but he spoke well and truthfully. He let the public know the dems have their diapers around their ankles.

some good detail here:

https://www.powerlineblog.com/...avanaugh-hearing.php

Ted Cruz: The 2016 election, to an unprecedented degree, was about the Supreme Court. Both candidates were very clear about the kind of Supreme Court Justices they would appoint. Trump even published a list of those he would consider

Big Grin DiFi knows perfectly well that the ABA is desperately trying to rehabilitate its reputation as "impartial" so it can go back to trying to be the ultimate gatekeeper in the nomination process. A few years ago, the media touted an ABA qualification rating as the ultimate measure of whether a judge should be confirmed. Then Trump pointedly ignored it and...no one has bothered to notice ABA ratings since.

Just tuned in, muted Amy Klobuchar, now listening to Ben Sasse. Everything he says implies that he should be the strongest Trump supporter in the Senate. Too bad.

Governor Ducey appointed former Senator Jon Kyl as McStain's replacement. Just in time for him to fly to Washington D.C. and cast his vote in favor of Kavanaugh.
