The Dems on the committee are absolutely insane.

Carry on.....

But we knew that.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. Well, if nothing else we'll be seeing exactly what the Dem party is really like. Grassley needs to grow a pair of stones or this will be a major cluster.

As long as we wake up in a couple weeks with Mr. Kavanaugh wearing black robes, I don't much care what goes on in the interim.

My guess is that things will be wild at the start in hopes of knocking loose a few R votes. When that doesn't happen, the Ds running in competitive races will begrudgingly vote for confirmation to help their races.

Those of you who have R Senators - particularly if they are ones who might channel their inner RINO and waffle on this - please keep the polite pressure on for them to confirm - emails, calls, etc. As long as they keep their spinal columns intact, the court will get its man.

WHY someone would watch garbage like this is beyond me. Not one mind is going to be changed on either side. These are not hearings to determine the suitability of the nominee, they are hearings to get sound bites for TV commercials so the senators can get money for reelection. Every single senator knows exactly how they are going to vote. These hearings are required and it's too bad they are not being used as intended. But that's what happens when you have a congress full of people who don't give a shit about the nation or the people they claim to serve.

These hearings should be on MTV, not national television.

Of course they are... but they aren't trying to appeal to sanity.

https://hotair.com/archives/20...onfirmation-hearing/

The fight here is being waged by Dems in the rank-and-file, like Blumenthal, Harris, Booker, Klobuchar

Feinstein, ranking Dem, mostly sitting back other than delivering her opening statement.

Schumer convened a call with Dem members over weekend to coordinate aggressive tactics

Democrats plotted coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend and all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing, sources tell me

I like this idea:

If Dems won’t let the hearing proceed uninterrupted, cancel it and hold the vote now

Local (D.C.) media is reporting that while the Dims are calling for still more "documentation," NOT A SINGLE ONE has gone to look at the documentation they've already received.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

Interesting, Feinstein lecturing about the importance and need for continued unrestricted abortion and then with hardly taking another breath conjuring the souls of children killed by guns in decrying his pro 2A stance. Irony much?

Why are the loud mouth protesters not being dragged out?

Loved the Senator calling the dems out on the call from schumer to obstruct and how hollow their arguments are when they have made it clear they have already made up theirs minds and only desire to obstruct and delay.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

MSNBC:

Just minutes into Kavanaugh confirmation hearing, 17 people have been arrested for protesting the hearing, US Capitol Police say

Republican Sen. Cornyn says the Senate confirmation hearing for Kavanaugh has descended into being "led by mob rule" as Democratic senators continue to interrupt the chair and call for the hearing to be adjourned.

After the arrests at the Kavanaugh Hearing there are plenty of seats open in the hearing room
