And just like that the mail in votes put her over the top. Luckily the were just enough ballots to harvest.

Very disappointing because Trump and Gade were great candidates.

right now it looks like we picked up one House seat w Nick Freitas winning CD 7

Freitas 186,367
Spanberger 159,856

I think VA will have 6 DEMs and 5 REPs in the House of Representatives

As a state, VA is lost. Turn out the lights and lock the doors, this fuckin place is CA East now.

I scrolled through various election results in Virginia today, of course cities where colleges and universities are located went Democrat. Even Lexington City. Roanoke , Harrisonburg, of course Richmond, Norfolk.

How can a Republician governor be elected next year, after this showing?

I don’t know if they can man. I viewed Freitas as a future rising star in Virginia politics. I was pretty damn sure he would win. I’m fucking furious about what has happened to my favorite state in the union. I think Virginians got scammed in this election and I don’t think it’s the first time it happened.

Statement by Daniel Gade

I’m a career servant of the Constitution, not a lifelong politician. I enlisted in the US Army as a private in 1992, and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2017. I was wounded in action twice and decorated for valor; after I lost my leg in battle, I was able to go on to earn both a Master’s and a PhD in public administration and serve under three different Presidential administrations. In short, I have always served America and the Constitution and will continue to do so in the future.

I’m deeply grateful to the tens of thousands of donors and volunteers who powered this campaign and the millions of Virginians who honored me with their vote last night. This was an entirely grassroots campaign, fueled by Virginians for Virginians, and we far out-performed the expectations of the media and the establishment, despite millions of dollars of negative attacks and being outspent 4 to 1. My opponent even claimed, absurdly, that a disabled combat veteran would be against protecting people with preexisting conditions.

From Lee County to Accomack County, from Danville to Chesterfield, from Winchester to Fairfax, it was an honor to meet Virginians and be a part of something bigger than myself. Together, we earned more votes than any Republican US Senate candidate in Virginia- ever. Our campaign made over 2 million individual voter contacts, raised over 5 million dollars, and did over 250 in person events. We were relentless in fighting for our Conserative values. COVID has redefined campaigning and I’m extremely proud of the volunteers who sacrificed so much for our cause.

This race was about serving America, the Constitution and fighting for our shared values, as I’ve always done. I ran for my children and grandchildren, and because God has given us a great country for which I am willing to fight. During my 25 years of military service, I saw both the best and the worst of humanity, but my faith in our country never wavered. This campaign has reminded me America is always worth sacrificing for.

I will never stop fighting for our country and for the Constitution which sustains it, but this race is over. I concede and call on all of my supporters to recognize state and federal results with peace and unity. No matter the results of the Presidential election, in particular, it is paramount that every American realize that we still live in the greatest country on earth, and to work towards “liberty and justice for all.”

My family and my faith are the most important things in my life. My wife and I have been happily married for over 21 years, and our three great kids stood by my side this entire time. We are stronger and more resilient than ever, and look forward to a bright future, wherever the road may lead. - DMG

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...caucus-call-n2579546

Abigail Spanberger:

Spanberger on the Dem caucus call: We lost races we shouldn’t have lost.
Defund police almost cost me my race bc of an attack ad.
Don’t say socialism ever again.
Need to get back to basics.
(Is yelling.)

"If we run this race again we will get f*cking torn apart again in 2022," Spanberger animatedly added.

Pelosi comes back on and says she disagrees, they won the House and presidency

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

From Federal Election Commission

Spanberger got campaign receipts of $ 7.9 million dollars from Jan 2019 to Oct 2020

Nick Freitas got receipts of $3.2 million dollars from Apr 2019 to Oct 2020

^^$20 says Nancy and crew ignore her, and I hope in the late hours of Election Night 2022 I'm awakened by the howls and screams, lamentations, TV screens being broken by hurled champagne bottles, smoke detectors going off by too much grass being huffed, etc. as the Dems see their idols going down in defeat.

Thank you, sdy, for all your Gade-related efforts. And please pass along to Dr. Gade our thanks for being bold enough to run. I hope he'll try again the next time 'round; it's clear that he will have quite a bit of support.

God bless America.

Throughout 2020 my wife and I have been very active in Fredericksburg (VA) with the Republican party efforts and met (via phone appointment) with Abigail Spanberger's staff twice to work with Veteran's Affairs issues. Both times, we ended the call in disgust. Politics suck. These folks could not care less about people.

Unfortunately, this year my wife and I have seen numerous families relocate into Fredericksburg, largely from the north. We have yet to meet/greet a single conservative among them...

I have good hope for many things...however, this State appears lost to a new permanent Liberal wave that seems unrelenting. It reminds me of California (my birth state).

SteadyHand:

Way way way back starting in late 2004 to early 2007 I worked patrol in the County. It was a great place to live and work.

I think it was about 2005, that the county started growing leaps and bounds due to BRAC and also all the defensive contractors moving into the NOVA area.

The cost of living started to rise, housing started being built everywhere and for some reason the blue flu started to hit the area.

I still have friends who work and live in the county and they tell me that I would not recognize the tone of county.

Before relocating to NC, I worked in Prince William and that place is a blue tidal wave of crap both the politics, people and how ghetto most if has become. Let alone all the residence who are "visiting".

I love and miss Virginia but something needs to be done to right the ship or it will continue to capsize.

I just read that they took down statutes at VMI.

I am trying to follow closely what is happening w the Trump team investigation of voter fraud and the associated lawsuits.

But even though it is starting low level, I am also working w a small number of people to address the Virginia 2021 election. That includes the VA governor race.

Petitions to get on the June 2021 VA primary ballot have to be submitted by late Mar 2021.

VCDL PAC doesn't endorse federal election candidates, but they do endorse state candidates.

Hopefully VCDL backs good people and helps us take back Virginia.

I don't have any special insight, but I am hoping Daniel Gade gets back in the saddle.

Gade lost to Mark Warner by a lot. But this was a presidential election year, and next year it is just Virginia state election.

Daniel Gade (today):

"Friends, this Monday, November 30th, I will be making a major announcement.

We had an extremely successful year fighting for our shared values and I am excited to continue that fight.

Tune in Monday!"

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Gade got 1.9 million votes for the VA senate seat. He now has state wide name recognition and hundreds of volunteers still fresh from supporting him.

Northam won the VA Governor election in 2017 with 1.4 million votes. (Gillespie (R) had 1.2 million) . There is always a sharp drop in turn out in the off year VA elections.

I hope he gets back in the saddle and continues the fight.

I think he did rather well for what I call a local man. In fact I think he did great going up against Warner who gets a ton of funding from any and everywhere.

As SDY stated he is now a known candidate and player. I like to think of this election as his rookie year and working to get name recognition, and let the citizens know who he is and what he stands for.

If he continues to campaign in the coming years I think he will do rather well.

I would hazard a guess that is correct,

and will likely get more traction than Chase or Cox
