Yeah, I thought the title was weird but it's understandable now. Sorry for the situation.

Very close friend of my wife. Got to a point were there were no signs of cancer, she had breast cancer too. After three years, something showed up and then less than six months, she was gone. She took it in stride though. Left a husband and a daughter that was about to go to college at the time. I made her laugh as we were going through the line, I told her, "If you ever need anything,... call my wife." I wasn't making a joke but I guess she expected me to say call me.

Took her and her dad shooting some time after. she's graduated from college already.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Thanks for all of the prayers. They help.

The last tests showed the cancer ended up in her brain. The last chemo has caused her real problems.

Donna, pre to her brain problem, had been a neo (baby) nurse at the AF base for many years.
I love her. I hate this.

She’s been a great mom, grandmother, sister and wife to her husband. For the last three winters we have gone from AZ to ND be with them for a week or so. She been an Angel.

I pray for her soul and the support of my wife.

Got an update.

Donna is only on oxygen. She is not taking morphine. Running a fever, likely pneumonia. She has been sleeping a lot and is pretty much not coherent when she is awake.

Wife is pulling second night in her room.

Rod-thanks for the offer on the son, understand he is in route.

Thanks for all of the prayers. It means a lot.
