He's unstable and he's not at all bright. That makes him a dangerous ally, or at least a questionable ally, at best.

He's making his shit up as he goes along. Making it up from moment to moment. Can people not see this? Ever notice how he suddenly goes off on tangents completely unrelated to the subject being discussed? He's making the shit up, from moment to moment. Stream of consciousness stuff. He's saying whatever comes to mind at that instant, like the word association test psychologists use on their patients. To say that this guy is not a deep thinker would be a monumental understatement.

I don't have anything against him. He's just kinda nuts, that's all.

I agree with you about West, Para. But, still, he said things about the Democrat Party that are now out there, and what he said reached a large black audience. The Democrats cannot unring that bell.

Trump has managed to begin turning things around with two voting blocs that the Democrats thought they had locked up forever, blacks and Hispanics. His meeting with West-- unstable as he is-- helped that process.

Yep. As soon as I saw the headline on Fox I knew the "other" Kanye West had come out to play. After a bit of this he will be back wearing his MAGA hat again and begging Trump for meetings.

Can't help himself.

And if the left and their news media co-conspirators have even half a chance, they'll Bill Cosby ol' Kanye right into prison.

Someone on the radio this morning heard that West was completely astounded by the fact that all revenue for his clothing line and other products took a huge nosedive. His fans didn't like him anymore.

No shit Sherlock Roll Eyes.

If this was the case, any deaf, dumb and blind man could have seen this coming in regards to his actions in the political arena. You pick a lane with Trump, be prepared for the shitstorm. This should teach entertainers the fact that their profession is kindergarten compared to national politics. Need to be smart, shrewd, have conviction, and prepared to lose a big chunk of fans. And West was none of these.

From TMZ yesterday:

Kanye from TMZ

4:15 PM PT -- Kanye contacted us to make it clear he did not mention Donald Trump in his tweets, and he's getting out of politics altogether.

As for being "used" ... he says he was specifically referencing Blexit, and that's it.

Kanye West says he's been used by people to spread political messages and he's now done with it.

Kanye just fired off a series of tweets apparently distancing himself from politics. He said, "My eyes are now wide open and now realize I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative."

Kanye all but says the culprit is ultra-conservative Candace Owens. He said, "I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn't want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it."

Owens had said, "Blexit [black exit from Democratic Party] is a renaissance and I'm blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero -- Kanye West."

It doesn't seem to me like he is denying Donald Trump.

Of course he is! Entertainment Tonight said so, even though they showed you exactly what he said (most of which aligns with pro-Trump thought). It's over. It's done. We can get back to the sky falling around us. Kanye has forsaken us!

The doublespeak from the left astounds me slightly less that those of us who accept their opinions as fact without spending any time verifying a word they say.

Who in this forum said that he was?

a1abdj, you seem awfully quick to criticize the members of this forum.

Only those who are in constant panic mode and have to see as many negative things as possible. Something you yourself regularly point out.

But I wasn't even commenting on our membership as much as society at large. They see something reported, accept the tagline as fact, and ignore any of the underlying material that they could easily see for themselves.

A somewhat related sample I saw today was the protest coverage while Trump visited PA. They mentioned all of the people protesting against hate.......by being hateful towards the President. Headline says one thing, material says another.

When you critique this forum and/or its members, expect me to show up PDQ. Say whatever you need to say, but leave this forum and its members out of it. There is very little that gets my attention more quickly than that kind of stuff.

Not anyone in this forum. Mostly meant the gleeful (probable) leftists who seem to be implying that his Trump support was just a mental lapse, and he has now come to his senses.

While Kanye *may* still deny Trump, I don’t think this time is it.

Because you're reading the comment above the quote and applying it. In that post it was quote....comment, quote....comment. Wink

I wasn't quoting you as part of my negative comment, I was quoting you as part of society's reliance on headlines for their programming. Kanye meets with Trump. BOO! Kanye is a Trump lover. Kanye distances himself from Trump. YA! Kanye hates Trump like we do!

Easy come. Easy go. All it takes is a headline. Few can be bothered to actually look slightly deeper to see how true it actually is.

Yes, on our end. But please remember my friend that when he speaks good towards Trump and the Conservatives, a large percent of black voters will at least listen.

In that regard he should be encouraged to speak up.

He may just get a few off the democrat plantation sooner.

Just donated another $100,000+ to a Socialist Democrat running for mayor of Shitcago. Shapiro's FB page shared it with the caption, "Not to be that guy, but... I told you so."

Kanye West Proves Love Affair With The Right Is Over, Gives $200K To Far-Left Candidate For Chicago Mayor

Short-lived.

ByEmily Zanotti

Kanye West announced on Twitter Tuesday that he was taking a break from politics, after being tied to a "Blexit" campaign encouraging black voters to leave the Democratic Party. But his "break" from politics was as short lived as his dalliance with Republican activists; Thursday, the Chicago Sun-Times revealed that 'Ye cut a second check — this time for $126,000 — to a Chicago mayoral candidate who identifies as a "Democratic Socialist."

On Monday, Kanye West announced on his Twitter feed that he'd donated $73,000 to Amara Enyia, a "little known" Chicago mayoral candidate backed by his friend and fellow artist (and Chicago native), Chance the Rapper.

Thursday morning, the Chicago Sun-Times announced that Kanye had cut an additional $126,000 check to Enyia, bringing his total donation to just shy of $200,000.

“Kanye has an interest in investing in Chicago, his hometown, and is welcome to act on those interests at any time. We think it is valuable that he is able to focus his efforts on his creative work and on supporting the platform that he believes will help move our city in the right direction,” Enyia's campaign spokesperson told the Sun-Times, crediting Kanye and Chance with elevating Enyia's upstart candidacy by giving it national exposure.

Kanye West could argue that there are no "conservative" options available in the race to replace outgoing Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel — after all, any Republican operation within the city is anemic, at best, and no member of the GOP has ever been considered a serious contender for Chicago's top office.

But if 'Ye wanted to support a Republican-like candidate, there are options, and they aren't Enyia. In fact, among Democratic contenders, Enyia is among the furthest left — a "Democratic socialist," though she may hate being described as such.

Enyia's platform includes "nationalizing" banks that operate within Chicago city limits, promoting "collective ownership" of businesses, scaling back the police budget in favor of "block clubs," raising taxes, creating an "office of equity" to monitor wealth inequality among Chicago residents, and replacing an appointed school board — which operates independently from teachers' unions — with an "elected" school board, which would quickly be filled with union lackeys.

When Enyia accepted Kanye's first check, opponents criticized her for implicitly approving Kanye's connection to Donald Trump, but she took the donation as evidence that Kanye supports and believes in her agenda.

"He’s talked about stop-and-frisk. He’s talked about criminal justice reform. He talked about extending mental health services in communities. He has talked about the need to invest economically in communities. He has talked about bringing some of his companies back to Chicago to create jobs,” she said.

Unfortunately for Enyia, West and Chance the Rapper are pretty much her only donors.
