Really? In today's world of politics nothing would surprise me, nothing at all.

5% of people on the left would think it was absolutely justified, and immoral to do anything less, given the dire threat to every woman’s bodily integrity and the liberty of everyone of color (except Clarence Thomas).

5% of people on the right would attribute those actions to a vast socialist conspiracy dating back to FDR, which includes the entire Democrat delegation, everyone in the media (except Fox News and maybe George Will), and everyone in California, Illinois, and New York.

Those are the people who decide elections now - the 90% of people in the middle reliably vote along party lines and, by canceling each other out, are irrelevant. We can expect nothing else until the people in the middle demand better and begin to vote across party lines for the person who offers it.

Usually when someone falls and cancer is found, the cancer has already spread to the bones and so is noted on the bone x-ray. It is exceedingly unlikely that the only malignancy is in a lymph node. She could have up to 9 months to live, but due to her age I would bet she will be dead in 6 or less.

Someone posted above that RBG can work from home, but must vote on SCOTUS issues in person. If so, the court most likely has a 5-3 split right now. However for a 2A issue, RBG would probably be wheeled in on a gurney to vote no.

I have seen a report (unconfirmed) that RBG has had a recurrence of malignant melanoma. If true, it does not bode well for her.

It's unconfirmed that you saw a report, or the report was unsubstantiated?

I have yet to read the type of cancer that was removed when they did a lobectomy of her lung(ie Lung, Pancreatic, Bone, etc.). If we knew the cancer type, that would answer a lot of questions about her longevity.

Sebastian Gorka says RBG is on hospice care in a NY hospital ... I'm gonna take his word for it.

"Weekend at Ruthie's"

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

This is very plausible, to me.

The MSM will keep any info on her condition out of the public eye probably better safeguarded than the fact that FDR couldn't walk on his own.

I have tried twice to post a link to where I read the report, but both times it went to moderated status. It was published in the Santa Monica Observer (not sure how reliable that source is).

I just read that, and I don't think it's a reliable source. They published an article back in Sept. 2018, saying that RBG was going to retire.

So is the hospice story a verified item, or just wishful thinking?

Is there any mechanism to remove, impeach (whatever) a justice who's health won't let them perform their duties? Or, could we just have her on indefinite life support somewhere?

I posed that very question when JALLEN was still among us, and his learned response was that 'No' there is no way to unload a justice that can no longer participate as a functioning judge, but that refuses to retire. According to JALLEN, she has to resign/retire, or croak for us to finally be rid of her.

I guess I can't totally fault the framers for not envisioning that due to political reasons we could have a justice that would refuse to retire even incapacitated or on their death bed. Any remotely reasonable person in her shoes would have retired under Obama.
