Usually when someone falls and cancer is found, the cancer has already spread to the bones and so is noted on the bone x-ray. It is exceedingly unlikely that the only malignancy is in a lymph node. She could have up to 9 months to live, but due to her age I would bet she will be dead in 6 or less.

Someone posted above that RBG can work from home, but must vote on SCOTUS issues in person. If so, the court most likely has a 5-3 split right now. However for a 2A issue, RBG would probably be wheeled in on a gurney to vote no.

I have seen a report (unconfirmed) that RBG has had a recurrence of malignant melanoma. If true, it does not bode well for her.

I have yet to read the type of cancer that was removed when they did a lobectomy of her lung(ie Lung, Pancreatic, Bone, etc.). If we knew the cancer type, that would answer a lot of questions about her longevity.

I just read that, and I don't think it's a reliable source. They published an article back in Sept. 2018, saying that RBG was going to retire.

I posed that very question when JALLEN was still among us, and his learned response was that 'No' there is no way to unload a justice that can no longer participate as a functioning judge, but that refuses to retire. According to JALLEN, she has to resign/retire, or croak for us to finally be rid of her.

I guess I can't totally fault the framers for not envisioning that due to political reasons we could have a justice that would refuse to retire even incapacitated or on their death bed. Any remotely reasonable person in her shoes would have retired under Obama.
