I love watermelon. I think so far this year, we have had about 15 or 16 since they came into season.

Me too!! Nice to see someone else that does that. I get some weird looks when I salt mine but it sure enhances the flavor.

The back end of a melon should smell just as the melon would taste- sweet, moist, and melon-y.

I took the advice of some folks on here and bought a couple Georgia watermelons today.
The first one was cut tonight and it is very good. Normally I don't have much luck picking watermelons.
