My Wellingtons are like a roper and have a pair of Ariat ropers.
Looking for something lower and easier to get in and out of.

The Georgia and Ariat seem to fit my wants and needs best just need to try them on to see who wins for comfort.

Don’t like the clear sections of the sole on the wolverines.

Also found Ariat makes a pair too. I have a pair of Ariat boots that lasted me quite some time and are still good just got too small. Guess I’ll head to the closest boot dealer that carries both.

If Ariat makes a pair of those and they’re up to par with the two pairs of “Heritage” wide square toe ropers I have, that might well be worth looking into. I’m pleased with my Ariats and have been wearing one pair of them almost daily for going on two years now (the brown version they currently offer), the other I save for dressier occasions (deer tan black: looks great, but scuffs easily). I easily see getting many more years out of them.

I have a pair of Ariat ropers that are 12 years old and doing just fine. Just don’t fit very well anymore.
They are comfortable I have put new Ariat insoles in them maybe 3 times.
Prior to switching to Lowa for my duty boots I would buy Ariat insoles and put them in my Danners and Bates even when brand new.

12 years? Nice. That's as solid an endorsement as I can think of. I guess I'm out of suggestions but will be following to see what you wind up with. Good luck, man. Smile

Full disclosure they have been worn maybe 10 times in the last 3 years. But before that they were worn ALOT. My foot has gotten a bit wide and they squeeze my toes a bit much to wear with any frequency anymore.

I’d be all about the Kangaroo Comfort but those toes are way too narrow for me.
Same with Solovair.

I love Kangaroo leather. Always wore kangaroo leather Adidas when I played soccer.
Pissed me off when they quit using it.

Lucked out today! Stopped by the local boot place to try on the Georgia and Ariat.
They had neither in a 13 unfortunately. Says they make them but they rarely get them larger than 12 but can be ordered.
I want to try them on before I buy so that was a bummer.
But then she said if you are looking for a Chelsea I have one better.
We have Justin custom make is a line of AMERICAN MADE, RESOLABLE, Chelsea’s!!

So I found the winner. The toe is a bit more narrow than I like but they aren’t pointy and they looked pretty good.
Only rub is they are custom and American made so the price tag is a bit higher than I had been planning for compare to the others. So I will just have to wait till after Christmas which is no big deal. They always have them in stock as they are a top seller.
