I want to buy a new (cheap) watch band for my Citizen diver watch ($200).

I'm looking at these three choices. I have one of the Archer bands for a G-Shock - it's comfortable and cheap but a little non-descript and blasé. But it's a little thin for the watch. I'd be okay buying it for the Citizen but considering two other choices

Any body have any experiences with either of these two brands? They seem like a bit more but concerned that the Marathon may be too stiff (the Archer is very flexible and comfortable; stretches a bit if needed). And just not sure about the Barton - any benefit over the Archer?

I bought this for my Citizen Eco-Drive dive watch, I like it. So far so good. It is comfortable.

Can't speak for the other two, but I have a similar Barton strap for my Citizen Ecozilla. So far so good. Plenty comfortable, the quick release is a good touch and has proven to be durable.

I have a couple of the Archers and they're O.K. I pulled the quick-change bars out and put better bars in them.

I have another silicone strap that I can't find in orders, but I like it better than the Barton. As for the Marathon strap. It should be very good.

I have one and it's really tough and good looking.
It's the only band I have ever had that does not let the watch move and yet it's not tight. I use the Maratac brand.

I love silicone straps and am in the process of changing out a couple of metallic bands.

I currently have three of these Strapsco silicone bands and have a fourth ordered...

For me it is more about length as I seem to have big wrists. Also be aware that if the strap has "curved ends" the watch case must be round to interface properly with the strap.

Along with my most recent order I also ordered a Barton - the model you're interested in, but it won't be here until Saturday - and I have concerns about the length of that band also.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Adios,

If you can find bands made of fluoroelastomer rather than silicone, you will find them to be better breathing, less stretch, etc. They feel similar to silicone but are a much better material.

I have several of those as well and they are nice straps. Especially they way they fit the lugs and case. I prefer a non-tapered strap for my tool watches.
