How well does the composite stuff hold up to lots of sun? Does it fade or deteriorate much?

So glad I have roofs over my decks, I guess that makes them porches. 15 years old and still look almost new.
I hope you find a more reasonable handyman or contractor though.

I used composite decking years ago when it first came out, for my back deck. It's exposed to the sun most of the day & other than being scuffed up a little from scraping ice & snow, it's held up fine.
