As the title says. Mac users are you using any anti-virus and if so which one?

I am considering Trend. Any opinions or experience with Trend or any other?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Don't use it.

If one day my needs change I will use one but haven't needed it in about the 10 years I've been using a Mac.

Used Sophos for ~5 years and dumped them last year. Switched to AVG.

Mac and Windows user here. Same network, but no AV on the Mac, but Windows Defender and Avast for Windows.

Mac user since 2003. Installed SOPHOS for a few years, but never found any virus. Deleted it.

Installed free Malwarebytes for Mac on my Apple 11" AIR last year which did find some crap. I do a sweep twice a year.

I also run Ghostery on Firefox which finds and deletes "trackers".

Mackeeper, Apple always say bad things about them. That tells me that it's features are better than apple's.
Had it on multiple MacBook pros for the past 5 years...

Bitdefender Virus Scanner here. I use the manual (free) version so it only runs when I chose to make it do so.

Oddly enough, a few weeks ago it found two bitcoin trojans on my Mac and eliminated them. It's the first time since I switched to Macs in 2012 that I've ever found anything. No idea how they got there. Glad the free stuff worked!

No. Not sure if I can say never, but at least not for years.
Apple puts out system updates very rapidly.

BTW: MacKeeper is, as far as I can tell, Malware and a scam. Big mistake to ignore warnings against it!!
What respectable company would “market” its product by inserting malware in your browser that claims you have a virus so you will buy their product??

None. Just regular security updates via Apple.

An acquaintance recently RESPONDED to a phishing email, called the linked number, got scared out of her panties, and purchased lifetime Sophos for $645. When I found out, plus seeing what Sophos charges, I got most of it reversed. This was after hammering the point, "Never download and install ANY extra software" ... This lady gave up her bank acct / routing numbers ...

Avast.

It's caught several malicious sites trying to install spyware into my browser.
