Two Men Stole Guns at SHOT Show. Here’s the Hiccup They Didn’t Anticipate…
February 18, 2019 - 4 Comments.

Last week, two men took it upon themselves to steal a series of firearms from the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) show.

However, the consequences of their actions would soon come raining down on them in a manner which they certainly did not see coming, according to reports from Townhall.
What Happened?

Las Vegas-based forklift drivers Eduardo Limon and Jamikko Foster stole 65 firearms from the SHOT show on Wednesday. The weapons which they took are as follows: Glock pistols, Mauser rifles, Sauer & Sohn rifles, Remington machine guns, rifles and pistols, Denel Land Systems machine guns, and Advanced Armament silencers.

What Limon and Foster did not know at the time was that SHOT purposefully has certain safety and anti-theft precautions in place. The firearms which were stolen by the two forklifters did not having firing pins, thus they could not be used. Once authorities learned that the guns were stolen, they urged for attentiveness regarding “any individuals seeking gunsmithing services or, more specifically, firing pins.”

Sure enough, the thieves went to a gun shop the very next day to seek firing pins for AR.15s. This subsequently led the authorities to search the homes and Limon and Foster. The firearms were found and both men are now facing federal charges of possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation released a statement on the situation. Notable excerpts from the statement read as follows:

“The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Las Vegas Field Office, the U.S. Attorney’s office and Las Vegas metro police deserve great credit for the manner in which they conducted their joint investigation, quickly arresting and charging two individuals allegedly responsible for the theft of multiple firearms a day after the SHOT Show had concluded. All firearms that are on display during the trade show are required to be inoperable, a factor that proved helpful in the apprehension of the alleged perpetrators.”
