Tucker Carlson is literally the only news/opinion show I watch on television. Tonight several minutes of my life were wasted by two segments of his show.

He interviewed a young “transgender,” who decided he/she was Filipino “because he admired the culture.” This was an obvious white boy from NOLA, with pink hair. He acknowledged what he professed was silly and called himself “crazy” or “weird” or both. WTF? Why did Carlson believe this guy was worth interviewing on a national news show?

Only topped by some jackass who founded an organization that advocated for no borders and one world government—a “democracy, one person, one vote.” Who in their right mind thinks this asinine idea has any chance in hell of being implemented?

What am I to do? Not watch any television news?

That's exactly the moment I turned the channel when he introduced that freak.

Just switch to OAN and be done with FOX altogether. Eventually, they'll get the idea. I rarely watch the news (get most of it here Wink) but when I do, it's OAN. My wife and I still like watching Tucker on occasion, but the amount of stupid that comes out of some of his guests seems to make me feel dumber than before I heard it, so I typically steer clear.

I like Tucker as well but I learned a long time to DVR it so I can skip over his never ending parade of complete buffoons that he presents to his audience.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

You could always flip over to the Fake New Channel. Eek

I like Tucker.
He is just exposing the other side.
It can get one-sided though as not many can out debate him.

I stopped watching Tucker, or any news, long ago, but then I started watching again to follow the Mueller "investigation." Tucker is smart, well informed, and he can think on his feet. But you are right, he often has some incredibly stupid segments. I don't know how these shows work, but my guess is that some producers pitch ideas -- like for the transgender-- and other managers at Fox give the green light. I can't imagine that if Tucker had complete creative control he'd do these brainless segments. But maybe he does.

I'm about to stop watching again, in any case. I can only take so much. Hannity comes on like he needs a shot of thorazine. I watched a bit of the first half of his show and at one point I counted how long he'd let a guest talk before he interrupted. His best was 18 seconds. I didn't log numbers, but I would guess that his average was somewhere between 3 and 5 seconds. The man cannot shut up and listen, he just can't do it....

These tv news shows can give you mindHerpes, you gotta be careful..... Big Grin

That was a very poor show from the guests to the production errors. If they are having trouble getting better guests the show's future may not be good.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I watched this too and felt the same way. Why drag a random, confused nut on to the air to discuss what are basically his fantasies. I guess it does expose what many of these people are - self-indulgent loons.
