Doesn't suck!

That's the practice field for the Easton Center at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista (San Diego), CA. I'm judging the SoCal Showdown this weekend and as a guest of USA Archery, I'm allowed to stay in the athlete's village. If one wants to feel old, fat and out of shape, walk around the athlete's village for a few minutes.

Tournament will be at the main field which is about 10 times as large. I'll be judging which will be a learning experience for me. I've been a judge at national level tournaments before but this is the first time outside of Arizona. I've also got 2 of my personally cached students shooting this weekend.

Should be a fun weekend.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
