Yep because his concern is about making money.

Whether it's true is questionable or not but I believe he once said "Republicans buy sneakers, too..."

Not sure if it's one of those urban myths like John Lennon saying Ringo wasn't even the best drummer in the Beatles.

I havent purchased any Nike product in decades. Not going to start now.

Locally Nike only appears to be popular with the "Gangsta" class. I never see anyone else wearing that shit. Regards 18DAI

Local PDX news showed Nike shoes set aflame. Then interviewed some drones who thought it stupid to burn the shoes or drones who said no big deal, it's just shoes and I'll continue to buy their shoes.

I'd like to see Nike put its money where its liberal mouth is and agree to its property to be annexed to the city of Beaverton and start paying their fair share of local taxes. Fat chance, like all commies when it comes to their money, hands off to the commie government they support.

Spoke to an completely unknown person to me today via phone, who also strongly indicated that Nike was stupid with this Kaperdick thing. We chatted a bit and we seemed on the same wave length on the Nike and NFL subject, ala Kaperdick; as well as his being a crappy QB.

Never owned a pair of Mike's as far as I consciously know.

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Conservative Treehouse has a report up that argues Nike is using Kaepernick to attack Donald Trump.

Why ?

Earlier I posted where the bulk of Nike manufacturing occurs. 81% in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, India, Thailand, Cambodia

Donald Trump is pushing trade agreements to bring manufacturing back to the U.S.

That could significantly impact the ultra cheap labor that Nike employs.

Similarly, Levi Strauss is now concerned about gun control.

By becoming global, these large companies don't have the U.S. interests at heart.

Read this but a sad reality to be sure.

FTA -- "China is willing to subsidize Nike (lower production costs), and replace any dropped revenue, in exchange for mutually beneficial political opposition against Trump and by extension his policies that are a risk to Beijing. As a result there is minimal financial risk to the Nike Corporation."

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
