For any who might be undecided about, or even opposed to, the re-election of Ted Cruz, here is some info about his opponent.

Link

As the caption informs,

quote:
That sweet young thing on the left in the flowered dress was the bassist for a band named the El Paso Pussycats. He was arrested in 1995 on burglary charges after he tripped an alarm while jumping a fence at the University of Texas-El Paso and later received deferred adjudication on a 1997 drunken driving arrest.

His name is Beto O'Rourke and he is your Democrat Senatorial candidate in Texas this year.

His campaign slogan is "Texas Deserves Better". I couldn't agree more.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The press in Houston (and nationwide) are trying to sell the story that Mr. Cruz is running for his life. This race is really going to be close and if Ted can pull out a victory, it will be his hardest fought battle.

Please...

To be fair, so is Ted, at least in the breathless come ons he sends me several times a day, begging for more money.

I get those too...
I slipped him a few bucks early on in the Presidential primary in 2016 and ever since then... I guess I'm on the list.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24
