My daily driver is a 2003 F150 with 193k on the odometer. I’ve owned it since 2007 and I’m optimistic about seeing it hit 300k.

Anyone else drive a car with a lot of miles on it?

The highest I ever went before was 180,000 on a Honda CRX years ago, normally I’ve sold or traded cars long before 100,000 but now that I’m no longer a bachelor with a lot of disposable income, a stay at home wife and two young kids, I’m going to drive this sucker till it dies!

At a red light last night I couldn’t resist taking this just before it rolled over:

180k on my last one. Sold it when the maint costs got too high. Bought a low milage 2 yr old car. We'll see if this one can go another 150k.

I did. I had 230,000 on my 2004 4Runner before a deer jumped out in front of me and totaled it.

I replace it with a 2007. I bought it with 140,000 on it and I've added another 40,000. I guess it'll be high mileage soon.

Not as high as yours, but almost all of my cars and trucks have been high mileage, whether they had high mileage when I bought them and I ran it up even higher, or bought them new and put high mileage on them. My current car (bought new) is a 2009 Toyota Corolla with 148,000. Others include, but are not limited to, a 1985½ Ford Escort (new, and the year is not a typo) with 162K until I wrecked it, and a 1995 Toyota Corolla (used with 18K) that I put 182K more on before trading it.

I'm nearing 160k on my '13 Mustang, and I'm hoping to push it another 150-200k. It's been super reliable and it's paid off.

2003 F150 with 240K. It is starting to need stuff like starters, water pumps, break calipers, etc. but tolerable when pricing a new F150. Very tolerable!

Only 125,000 on 2012 CRV.

2 years ago, I donated my 2003 Honda Pilot with 335,000 miles, Original engine, tranny, exhaust and A/C.

My CRV has a long road ahead of it.

Just sold my Crown Vic., It had 198,000 miles on it. I got tied of working on it all the time.

I still have my Toyota Corolla, but it's not really high mileage, it's just old.

Here’s a question for you all:

This “high mileage” oil that some oil change places try to push, does that make any difference?

I just have Firestone, who does my oil changes, put in their regular oil of the type Honda calls for.

It sounds gimmicky to me, but I’m not 100% certain if it’s better?

Usually I sell when the odo gets around 100k or a little over but over the decades I've kept a few beyond 150k. Right now we have none, but I do have one 911 closing in on 140k. So many save their Porsches for weekends at most but this one I take everywhere.

181,000 on my 2006 Corolla.

Mileage isn't all that high but the fact that it still feels like a new car is what's impressive to me.

My '04 Tahoe is right at 290K. I was able to write off $25K of the purchase price on my 2004 return (179 deduction) so with the tax credit that generated, I think I only really paid around $25K or so for it. I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

My shop started using the high mileage oil somewhere along the way. I have no idea whether it's made a difference or not, but I've never had anything other than routine maintenance issues.
