Didn’t really get any great solutions to my rant a couple months ago about expensive led bulbs burning out early while being more trouble than it’s worth trying to take advantage of their warranty, so I’m trying a different approach. For those of you near a Menards, they’re clearancing certain Zilotek 100W-equivalent led bulbs that are sold in 6-packs. $7.99 per pack with a $3.99 rebate per pack, no limit. If you stuff them into the in-store 15% off grocery bags they have this week, that drops the price to about 47 cents per bulb. That’s low enough to consider any early bulb failures as disposable, IMHO.
