I used to bike back when I was in highschool almost every single day. I was lucky enough to have a friend with lots of property where we could build a track and jumps and just have a blast.

I briefly raced BMX in Hampton VA and did very well my first time out. I was racing a Powerlite frame that I cobbled together by canabalizing my Haro and Mongoose bikes. It was not great looking but it was light and very fast!

My first race I got nervous and my foot slipped off the pedal on the first berm. In that first race I came in 3rd place but in everysingle race after that I came first place! It is such a rush lining up at the gate and racing and soooo sweet when you win!

I only went to a hand full of races because of my friend I raced with moving away, not having a decent place to ride anymore along with other medical related issues/injuries that come with BMX and freestyle biking but years later looking back those were some great times.

Watching the races on the Olympics tonight is bringing back some great memories!!

I set my DVR to record some of the primetime prelims and then went to sleep. I'll check 'em out this afternoon and over the course of the next couple of days.

I caught it after work. The aerial shot of the track was impressive.

Will one less box of ammo, this month, kill you?
No, but the money could save a child's life...

I was up late and saw it. What those kids / guys can do on bikes is amazing. Their control and smoothness is out of this world.

And that track! Holy cow! A 3 story drop to the track and 30 foot jumps. The track is on roids.

I missed it. My son raced BMX for a couple years and won lots of trophies. He was number #27 in the state of Missouri. Then he got bored of it and is now playing football. I really wanted to see it on the Olympics though.
