This is true for the average liberal you encounter in your day to day life. For the politicians and the ones with power, it is simply a calculated means to power and control. They know exactly what they are doing.

Look back at the percentage of shootings that have happened over the last 40 years and decide for yourself what percentage are attributed to left/liberal/progressive/democrat aligned individuals. It might be a better idea to control liberalism instead.

The left recognizes it has a defect that prevents normal interaction with society and is crying out to society to give up normal societal freedoms to help keep the fellow left from destroying their defective selves.

So apparently this rocket surgeon has no concept of a simple fact. If someone is so enraged, cold or devoid of morality that they want to kill another, they will do it. How is just a matter of convenience. Car, bat, explosive, gun, knife, fire... just a detail to be checked in the police report.
