Some really interesting handles on this forum.
Am I the only one who looks and says, whats that mean?
So, here goes mine:
In 2009, after some serious pain issues I was having for about 1 year, I was diagnosed with severe diverticulitis.
Doc I trusted when I asked him "what would you do"? told me, surgery.

Shortly thereafter, I went under the knife and low and behold had a tumor and 10" of my colon removed.

This is known as a SIGMOID colectomy.

So, in honor of what saved my life, I chose this as my handle.
Go ahead, call me an asshole, I just chuckle cuz I'm closer to the end than the beginning. Razz

What's yours?

I'm Paul, and I live in Prospect Harbor.

Somewhat more interestingly, on the tractor forums I'm "Fawteen". That started as F14 for the 1938 Farmall F-14 tractor I piss money away on, that morphed to Fourteen, and then to take a little dig at some Southern Brethren it became Fawteen.

Elsewhere, I'm "Downeaster" because Prospect Harbor is in Downeast Maine.

In my hurry to become a member, I should have thought about it longer, not realizing it'd be permanent. Basically, I like pizza. No, I don't own a pizza place, but if I did then I suppose that's what I would name it.

My 1st car nearly 19 years ago

How she currently sits at the moment undergoing a full suspension and brake swap as well as a turbo motor swap. This week starts a new schedule of 3 day weekends so I hope to have her running again for summer then complete the body work and paint over the winter.

Recoatlift: paint problem. Undecoats or topcoats begin to swell, crac& & lift due to waiting too long between coats & heavy coats, Usually seen in automotive / Fleet refinishing. Major PITA!

Solution: proper flash times & the use of isocynates (see Bhopal, India disaster) in under coats, color & clear. No more recoatlifts!

Painters that do not wear a proper respirator or fresh are systems usually have a 3 fingers or limp wrist handshake!
