A bycicle. I was 11 and I saved my money from mowing lawns during the summer. I think I got it at Sears or Montgomery Wards.

a matchbox car. my allowance was a dime a week. four weeks and i bought my first car for 35 cents.

First thing I saved for was college tuition. I graduated from high school at age 16. Started saving at age 14. Hauled hay. Worked in Ruidoso,NM, for a summer. Hauled hay. Worked at drive-in movie theater. Hauled hay. Chopped wood. Hauled hay. Worked at trailer-house mfg company. Hauled hay.
