That scares the shit out of me.

Reminds me of that car ride video were that girl shot her friend at point blank range in the head.
Most people were making fun of them but it just hit me as incredibly sad.

That happened in Houston. The victim was Devyn Holmes. Amazingly, he survived and is making a recovery.

I miss the days when cell phones didn't have cameras. Kudos to the RO.

I volunteered a couple of times during a public deer gun sight in sponsored by a local range.
Amazing number of folks believe that a belted magnum is just the ticket for Whitetails.
It got pretty exciting. If you think sloppy handling of pistols is scary, try the experience with rifles.
It is amazing to me that so few people get shot during deer gun season.

Let's not overlook that this incident took place in the Philipines, not at your local range.

I was a firearms instructor in the CG, trust me, that kind of stupid is not limited to the civilian population.

I saw this video on Facebook and asked a question but got only 1 response. So I'll ask the question here to see what you guys think. Let's assume these are not rented guns, but personal guns. What is the proper way to handle this? Escort the guys to the door and hand them their firearms outside?

Maybe remove the slide from the pistol and hand him both pieces as he walks out the door.?

I think the RO had some impressive hands to get full control over the gun and drive it downrange from buddy's temple without dumbass firing a round.

In answer to Rigby, i’d Assume if it’s a personal weapon and not a rental, you’d have no authority to confiscate the weapon withou big legal issues. So yeah, I’d unload, remove the slide and escort them to the door. That’s about it. You can probably get away with banning them from the business in the future. As for a rental? Well you’d certainly have more options.

I was at a local range this spring here in MN and watched a shooter grab his lever action rifle and stand behind his buddy who was sitting at the firing line.

He loaded the rifle while he rested the butt of the stock on his hip and chambered a round while it was pointed at his partner on the firing line. I took the rifle out of his hands before he blew his friend's head off, unloaded it and went and got an RO.

This stuff is not exclusive to the Philippines!

Probably in the middle of cleaning a gun.

While the video is eye-opening and disturbing, this is just more ammo for the assuming anti's to restrict ownership, and access, let alone opening & operating a range.
See what happens at ranges, what if...what if...what if.... We need more laws
