One of those times, Bob Hope telegrammed him: "Next time God wants to play through, let him!"

I always thought that lightning always hits high points. About 30 years ago I was taught different.

Driving from a job on the hill which is considered the highest in our county, I had a lightning bolt hit the road about 40 feet in front of me, when there were tall maple trees all around me.

Never think you know what lightning will or will not do, please!!

The camera that captured that slow-motion video is impressive, itself.

And for a mere $100,000+ (depending upon options) you can have one, too.

Feast your eyes on the Phantom Flex4k, with up to 128GB of built-in RAM, that can do 938 fps at 4096 x 2304 in RAW format, and has lens mounts for PL, Canon EF, and Nikon F lenses:

And here's the website of the person that shot the video:

That must be because it is always explained that electricity goes to ground, so it makes sense to go to the closest, nearest, but I think it goes to the point where the electrical resistance is low enough.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
