I don't think Norway’s Ragnhild Mowinckel is looking at it that way! Silver was far better than anyone expected from her... Big Grin

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Whenever they shout "Ragnhild Mowinckel" I hear "Rocky'n Bullwinkle".

Am I the only one ?!

Nope! My little group of friends has an ongoing joke about Rocky and Bullwinkle. One of the guys has always been a big fan of the cartoon. He has a set of "Moose and Squirrel" coffee mugs. So another guy got himself a new bride who's from Russia. We were all sitting around one evening getting to know her, she's talking about wildlife over there and sez "We have your moose and squirrel," and we all just about fell over laughing, thinking about Boris and Natasha kidnapping R&B. She didn't get the joke until somebody explained it to her.

Or, as I discovered Sunday evening, bronze=newest spokesperson for Bounty, the Quicker-Picker-Upper.

I'm struggling a bit with the product tie-in.

Yeah, I don't get that one.

On the other hand, how long do you think it'll be before we see Matt Hamilton and the rest of the American curling team in a Swiffer commercial?

Speaking of karma, what ever happened to the speed skater that played the race card when he didn't get to carry the flag in the opening ceremony? I haven't heard anything about him.

He's held the 1000 meter world record since 2009. He'll be relevant until somebody breaks it. Even though he's a whiny race card puller.
