The issue with the Left ignoring this has more to do with an innate elitism than anything else. The Left looks to these archaic religious practices and the cultures that espouse them and view these cultures as misguided and backwards savages that can be "converted" to practicing a Leftist world view. Modern-day Christians are seen by the Left as intolerant bigots because they should already be "enlightened" (i.e. like the Left). These Christians are an inherent obstacle in the march to globalism (collectivism).

It is through this form of "double think" that the Left can ignore its own hypocrisy on religious issues.

How about charging the parents for willingly taking their children to see this butcher. Any other children go to CPS

Savage. The death would be a release for this Evil but I am thinking I'm ok with that. Kill her. I am not even being a polite deplorable and calling for the "death penalty." Just end her. Probably just need to do the same (or gender equivalent) procedure to the parents- sans anesthesia.

That's all I can think of at this point. I usually just shake my head at crap but I am visibly shaking in anger. My teenager just noticed and thought I was having a medical issue.

Some, or perhaps fewer than some religions believe, as another member pointed out in an earlier post, that by doing this and eliminating the females ability to gain any pleasure or gratification from sex, it greatly reduces the probability of sexual promiscuity, and the immorality that results.

Also
"In every society in which it is practiced, female genital mutilation is a manifestation of deeply entrenched gender inequality. Where it is widely practiced, FGM is supported by both men and women, usually without question, and anyone that does not follow the norm may face condemnation, harassment and ostracism. It may be difficult for families to abandon the practice without support from the wider community. In fact, it is often practiced even when it is known to inflict harm upon girls because the perceived social benefits of the practice are deemed higher than its disadvantages.

The reasons given for practicing FGM fall generally into five categories:

Psychosexual reasons: FGM is carried out as a way to control women’s sexuality, which is sometimes said to be insatiable if parts of the genitalia, especially the clitoris, are not removed. It is thought to ensure virginity before marriage and fidelity afterward, and to increase male sexual pleasure.
Sociological and cultural reasons: FGM is seen as part of a girl’s initiation into womanhood and as an intrinsic part of a community’s cultural heritage. Sometimes myths about female genitalia (e.g., that an uncut clitoris will grow to the size of a penis, or that FGM will enhance fertility or promote child survival) perpetuate the practice.
Hygiene and aesthetic reasons: In some communities, the external female genitalia are considered dirty and ugly and are removed, ostensibly to promote hygiene and aesthetic appeal.
Religious reasons: Although FGM is not endorsed by either Islam or by Christianity, supposed religious doctrine is often used to justify the practice.
Socio-economic factors: In many communities, FGM is a prerequisite for marriage. Where women are largely dependent on men, economic necessity can be a major driver of the procedure. FGM sometimes is a prerequisite for the right to inherit. It may also be a major income source for practitioners."

This helps explain why Islamics get 70 virgins. They fear comparison, and with good reason.

Protection petitions filed for 2 girls in mutilation case

MINNEAPOLIS – Authorities in Minnesota have filed child protection petitions for two 7-year-old girls who prosecutors say were brought to Michigan by their mothers for a genital mutilation procedure.

The petitions were filed in Hennepin and Anoka counties on Thursday, the same day a Michigan doctor was charged with performing genital mutilation on the two girls. According to the FBI, Dr. Jumana Nagarwala was arrested after the 7-year-olds identified her as the person who performed procedures on them in February at a clinic in suburban Detroit.

It is believed to be the first case of its kind prosecuted in federal court.

The petition in Hennepin County said one of the girls was removed from her family's suburban Minneapolis home and placed in a shelter on a 72-hour health and welfare hold. Her 11-year-old brother remains in the home.

The Associated Press isn't naming the parents to avoid identifying the girl. They don't have a listed home phone number, and it wasn't immediately clear whether they had an attorney. A woman who answered the door said the family had no comment.

According to the petition, child protection services received a report of physical abuse of the girl on Monday and authorities interviewed her. She told them about the trip she took with her mom, a friend and the friend's parents. The girl said she went to see a doctor, but was told to keep that secret.

The girl was given a medical exam after being removed from the home.

Her father told a child protection investigator that "if they knew what would come of it, this would never have happened," the petition stated.

A spokeswoman for the Anoka County Attorney's Office confirmed prosecutors have filed a case there as well, but it's under seal and the details are confidential.

The FBI said Nagarwala, 44, is a member of a cultural community that believes in the practice but that she denied performing it when interviewed by agents. She is charged with genital mutilation, making false statements and other crimes and remains in custody pending a Monday court hearing.

In a court filing, the FBI said many more girls have told investigators that Nagarwala performed procedures on their genitals. Acting U.S. Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Blanco called the procedures "horrifying acts of brutality on the most vulnerable victims."

Female genital mutilation of minors is illegal in the U.S. unless there's a legitimate health reason. The World Health Organization said the practice of removing or injuring female genital organs has no known health benefits. Yet it has been performed on more than 200 million women and girls in 30 countries, according to the group.

A man trying to impose what he calls "the civil part of the sharia law" in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis has sparked anger among local residents and Muslim leaders.

Abdullah Rashid, 22, a Georgia native who moved to Cedar-Riverside last year, has been making the rounds in the Somali-dominated neighborhood, telling people not to drink, use drugs or interact with the opposite sex. If he sees Muslim women he believes are dressed inappropriately, he approaches them and suggests they should wear a jilbab, a long, flowing garment. And he says he's recruiting others to join the effort.

Pray tell me what made Rashid, who was previously known as Devon James Miller, convert to Islam in 2009?

He said he first started the religious police group in Georgia in 2013, and wants to grow it internationally.

What a sanctimonious little POS.

I still say we're missing something if the parents that took the children for this procedure aren't charged.

And are we to assume this is the Doctor's first and only attempt at FGM? I'd imagine it's widely practiced in these cities.

So much for assimilation.

New York Times refuses to use the term "Female Genital Mutilation". The New York Times refuses to call this crime what it is. They think using the term is an unjust imposition of western culture norms onto the Moslem societies that practice Female Genital Mutilation.

Some coverage of this leftist bullshit and a pretty good brief Tucker Carlson video regarding the NYT assininity are at this LINK.

The double standard practiced by the NYT is mind-boggling, breathtaking, stultifying.

New York Times scraps 'female genital mutilation' for being 'culturally loaded' term
By Cody Derespina Published April 24, 2017 Fox News

[Go to the link to view the video embedded there] Tucker: What else will NY Times consider culturally-loaded?

A top New York Times editor decided the paper shouldn’t use the term “female genital mutilation” because the phrase is too “culturally loaded” and widens a divide between the Western world and “people who follow the rite.”

Health and Science editor Celia Dugger said she came to the conclusion to refer to the act of removing the female genitalia of young girls as “genital cutting” during a trip to Africa in the 1990s. She spoke about her decision in a Times mailbag article in response to a reader’s question.

“I never minced words in describing exactly what form of cutting was involved, and there are many gradations of severity, and the terrible damage it did, and stayed away from the euphemistic circumcision, but chose to use the less culturally loaded term, genital cutting,” Dugger wrote. “There’s a gulf between the Western (and some African) advocates who campaign against the practice and the people who follow the rite, and I felt the language used widened that chasm.”

The term “female genital mutilation” has actually been used by the Times in six articles in 2017, according to a website search; however, the instances are extremely restricted. For instance, two of the mentions occur in the context of a quoted speech or statement, two were in opinion columns, one in a book review and one in the mailbag explanation of why the Times didn’t use the term. The abbreviation “FGM” appeared this year only in stories taken from wire services such as The Associated Press and Reuters.

The Daily Caller was one of the first organizations to draw attention to the Times’ practice; however, groups as ideologically opposite as the United Nations Population Fund have also written about the potential danger in referring to genital mutilation as “cutting.”

“UNFPA embraces a human rights perspective on the issue, and the term ‘female genital mutilation’ more accurately describes the practice from a human rights viewpoint,” a question-and-answer section of the UNFPA website says.

UNFPA estimates some 200 million women worldwide have been subjected to FGM, and though the procedure is typically practiced in African or Middle Eastern cultures, it’s spreading westward. Nearly 6,000 reported cases occurred in Britain from April 2015 to March 2016, according to the Health and Social Care Information Center, and, in the U.S., an Islamic doctor in Michigan was charged earlier this month with performing the procedure on a pair of 7-year-old girls.

The New York Times said the doctor had been “accused of performing genital cutting” in its version of the story.

Thanks,

Sap
