A little more than 2 weeks out from Bike Week in Daytona. Anyone planning on being there? I’d be up for a ride/meet if someone in the area would like.

Any food suggestions? Looking for the places that are local and unique.

I also would looking for suggestions on where I may be able to park the truck and trailer. Plan on trailering the Breakout down from WI.

You can't do better than The Cracked Egg for breakfast or lunch.

Down the Hatch at Ponce Inlet. Best fish sandwiches I've ever eaten. Windows next to the water or outside dining. And Hog Heaven for BBQ.
We hit both every year at Biketoberfest.

If you decide to take a ride north up A1A into St. Agustine (you should; you'd like historic St. Aug.) I would suggest Harry's Seafood right across from the Bridge of Lions (it's not just seafood; good chicken and steak as well) and MoJo's BBQ.

As long as you're in St. Augustine, remember that Top Gun Supply has a store there.

If you want to stay in the Daytona area, there's always Florida Gun Exchange, on Nova Road, just down the street from DB Pickles, a NYC style deli with REALLY good pastrami sandwiches, and a pickle bar / buffet. Try the pickled green tomatoes.

I’ve always wanted to go, but it’s quite a haul from the house. Is there cheap lodging or camping nearby?

I'm not sure, but I believe that he has not been affiliated with that store for maybe a couple of years.

I might be mistaken. I was wrong once.

The tourist train in St Augustine is neat. Lots of interesting stops. It takes most of the day depending on how many things you get off to see. The distillery tour is neat complete with tastings.

High Tides At Snack Jack 2805 S Ocean Shore Blvd, Flagler Beach, FL 32136 Right on the beach, outside dining, cold beer, good seafood, ocean breeze, perfect place to stop on a ride up A1A towards Flager. Not expensive either.

http://www.snackjacks.com/

Ride the loop,

https://www.daytonabeach.com/t...do/attractions/loop/

Main street - you can cruise it, first weekend is best no cars, heavy traffic. Pork Chops at

https://officialbikeweek.com/

lots of great bike shows, wet tshirts etc.

The vendors you want to see, and test rides are at Daytona International Speedway, lots to see and buy.

Same vendors and others at Destination Daytona/JP Cycles in Ormond Beach up A1A at I- 95.

Iron Horse Saloon, drive through, but park out front or next door, go up to the catwalk, check out the people, bikes, bands, get a tshirt with Trump on it, they'll have a new one this year.

https://ironhorsesaloon.com/

If you don't feel like biker foot at Iron Horse a mile south is Rivergrille, outdoor dining on the river, good seafood, good views

https://rivergrille.net/

Good seafood and outdoor dining on the intercoastal in Daytona is Caribbean Jacks
good place to park, get off the bike, into a beer, and chill after being in Daytona traffic.

https://rivergrille.net/

If you want to get out of traffic, out of the city area and take a nice country ride for lunch 3 Bannanas in Cresent City is a nice drive out from the madness into the FL countryside, you'll enjoy some back roads and decent food lakeside.

https://www.3bananas.com/

Cruise down A1A to Ponce Inlet

https://hiddentreasurerestaurants.com/

Slip over to US1 head south to New Symrna then
over to the beach to the Breakers, again, beach, surf, food, beer,

https://breakersnsb.com/

One evening take a cruise down US1 to Titusville, hit Dixie Crossroad and order the the Rock Shrimp, and corn fritters... A long time seafood place in FL with great food, get their early or wait wait wait....

http://www.dixiecrossroads.com/

There are a lot of places to eat, drink, sit, watch. Have fun, wear sunscreen, you guys from up north are easy to spot, bright red skin, smiles and smell of beer and bike exhaust

Agree their port Bourbon is very good. Avoid the winery unless you like extremely sweet wines..

Make sure you ride the loop while you're there. Lots of tree canopy.

mkueffer, did you get more suggestions than you expected? Smile

I've heard of just about every restaurant mentioned and have eaten at many of them. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

Two more suggestions for you: The Funky Pelican at the pier in Flagler Beach (A1A) and Saltwater Cowboy's on Dondanville Road (right off A1A) in St. Augustine Beach.

Have a great time and stay safe.

Everyone thanks for the suggestions and V-Tail for parking. I will try out some of those spots while I’m there. I do not have my assignment yet, but looking forward to warm weather, and a ride or 2.
