2019 Flu Shot: Got yours? How about after effects?

craigcpa2019 Flu Shot: Got yours? How about after effects?
Greetings all. I’m a proponent of getting a yearly flu shot, at least for those of us who have had the flu sometime in our lives. And I’m by no means one who thinks the flu shot gives you the flu.
With that said, I got my flu shot this past Friday approximately 4:00 p.m. By 9:00 p.m. I was feeling awful. No fever, but very similar flu-like symptoms. Fortunately, they only lasted approximately 12 hours - a horrible nights sleep, if any sleep, actually. I previously talked with my mother’s husband, and aunt, and both have had equally timed reactions, but more nausea and vomiting than I. They also report hearing from friends of equally bad reactions to this year’s shot.
So, has anyone else experienced these time-limited negative effects from this years’ flu shot?

joatmonvSome of the posts above are why I've
never got a flu shot.
I'm not knocking anyone and I know that I'll eventually get one as I get older.
I've been more than lucky to not get sick in quite a few years. I'll send employees home if they're sick and show up and as soon as someone at work starts showing any sign of illness, I'll put on the dust mask.
I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

gearhoundsNever had one, never will until the day all possible strains (not very likely) are guaranteed blocked. As to symptoms, several people I know that gets them experienced some degree of symptoms from marginal to feeling like they have the flu for a day or two. Some that get the shot have gotten the flu anyway.

This. Or your choice of another anti-inflammatory. One dose usually works, but might need a chaser. You
may have some degree of pain at the injection site, from just about any preventive vaccination, and possibly some mild symptoms. Yellow fever and anthrax were particularly nasty. Word to the wise.
