https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...child_sex_abuse_ring

The Telford child sex abuse ring consisted of a group of British-Asian men grooming local children for sex between 2007 and 2009 in Telford in the English county of Shropshire. Up to 100 girls are believed to have been affected and around 200 perpetrators were suspected. According to the Home Office, as of 2015, Telford had the highest rate of sex crimes against children of any city in the United Kingdom

The offences included rape, controlling child prostitution, causing child prostitution, and trafficking for the purpose of prostitution

In 2018, investigations by Daily Mirror have alleged that the extent of the Telford grooming gang was far more vast than had previously been believed, with claims of up to 1,000 girls, most of them white, having been victims of trafficking, drugging, beating, rape and even murder by members of the group and other groups, who are suspected to number in the hundreds, making it the largest of any grooming scandal to date

Similar with other grooming gang cases it was alleged the authority's failed to keep details of abusers from Asian communities for fear of being seen as racist

Asian in this case not meaning Oriental.

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

British-Asian men

A perfect example of Wikipedia's political correctness. The men were Muslim, the reason the police and politicians did not want to investigate and convict these "Asian" men is that they were "good Muslims".
The victims were all non-Asian, non-Muslim girls mostly in their early teens, some even younger.
These crimes which were not confined to Telford and the multiple cover-ups still need more through investigation and many parties have gone unpunished.

In UK, Asian means the entire Indian sub-continent and surroundings, that is Pakistan and Bangladesh and Afghanistan, but excludes Iran.

Oriental means Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean.

Telford is just one of a number of British communities where this has occurred. Recently, activists disclosing these and other scandals caused by Muslim immigrants were detained entering Britain specifically for their prior speech in other countries. One wrote a speech and it was delivered in the Speaker's Corner by a friend while the activist was detained in holding facility. His significant other, by the way, was also detained and held separately. So yes, free speech is dead in England, and Muslims are allowed to rape, enslave and pimp young Brits.

Tacfoley:

Isn't Telford the first case where it was found that the NHS, police and social service agencies had solid evidence of the human trafficking and sexual exploitation crimes but did nothing with that evidence for fear of outraging the very criminals involved?
