Olympic gold medalist and transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner is the latest celebrity to reveal she has considered launching a run for Senate, telling radio host John Catsimatidis she is in the process of determining her future in activism and politics.

“I have considered it. I like the political side of it,” Jenner, who is a Republican, told Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.

“The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me. Over the next six months or so, I gotta find out where I can do a better job. Can I do a better job from the outside? Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talking to anybody? Or are you better from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that,” she said.
“Yeah but I would look for a senatorial run,” she continued.

Jenner told CNN's Don Lemon in April she would "seriously look at a run for office."

Jenner has been a supporter of President Trump, but hit Trump earlier this year over his decision to roll back Obama-era protections for transgender students.

“I have a message for President Trump from, well, one Republican to another. This is a disaster. And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me," she said.

Jenner’s comments come just days after musician Kid Rock hinted he would pursue a senate run in a statement.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Not counting his/her personal choices, his/her political beliefs are very similar to most of us here.

That would put the left in an awkward position wouldn't it? If they didn't vote for Jenner, they would certainly be some sort of "ist".

Who would he, errr, she, run against? Schumer, maybe? McCain, maybe? McConnell, maybe?

Some might have a tough choice.

Let's see...

We've got a mentally ill tranny (redundant, I know) wanting to be in the United States Senate. Well, he should fit right in.

And why not? Other than being an embarrassment, he couldn't fuck things up any more than they are.

I'll be gone by then, but if Bruce Jenner decides to run for Senate as a CA resident, he could very well win. Hell, I'd vote for Bruce, any Republican over Feinstein or Kamel-Toe Harris.

If he wins as a Republican, he would be the first Russian transvestite in the Senate.

Yeah, I thought Jenner was from California and I'm not sure I'd be surprised if California would be willing to go for it. ("Imagine how shocked all those straight uptight white people will be when they all sit down to caucus!")

At any rate, if it manages to vote Republican on a consistent basis then it's better than Susan Collins and a definite improvement over whoever the Dems would nominate.

Bruce.

Sorry to the more enlightened, but I draw the line at transgender. There has to be a standard of 'normal' or at some point anything goes.

I don't hate them, I won't mock them, and I'll even call them a friend, but I refuse to believe transitioning from one sex to another is 'normal'.

Exactly!
I don't have to approve of his/her choice of pronoun of the day to vote for him/her when it comes down to trying to save the country from the socialists!

Yeah, a weirdo transgender who happens to be a registered Republican, and who supported Trump in his run for President.

Gotta be better than Al Franken, yes?
