I emailed them and got a reply back saying they would check into it and get back with me, which they did not until I called them 3 days later. Then they told me "those items were shipping to them in 3 days" That would have put the blueguns to them the first part of last week. There is still no sign of shipping yet. I'm a little more than concerned now. I had no idea of their poor reputation.

I posted this earlier and my experiences with them recently have been very good. I will say that the customer service is not anywhere near it could be. They are poor at returning phone calls or emails, but delivery was resonable and consistent on several blue gun orders.

I'm still waiting on a pair of Lowa boots that are supposedly "shipping from the manufacturer". Same status over the phone for 3 months. These guys are hacks. Ordering from them is like playing russian roulette, some are fine and some die.

botachtactical Read that post carefully. You want to know what the problem is? Well, the post by beefangusbeef is typical of what we've heard about your company from countless members for years.

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't order a stick of chewing gum from you.

What gets me is that people order from them because they've not personally had problems, but are aware of countless other people who HAVE HAD problems.

That's like justifying being friends with a total dickhead because he happens to treat you okay.

We know they are not a reliable company. That should be enough for people to not order from them.

After waiting for a jug of CLP from them for over 2 months, I canceled my order. The refund took another 2 months. Screw that company.

Just last week I had another good experience with Botach. While I don't doubt the bad experiences reported by some, why should I punish a business that has always treated me well based on the anecdotal bad experiences of some percentage of their large customer base? Dealing with any business sometimes you pays your money and you takes your chances. I posted on here and on GT about a horrible experience I had with a very popular seller of Glock accesories, which resulted in the owner calling me on the phone and personally threatening me for posting exactly what he said on the Internet. I won't buy from him, but he's still pretty popular, so I guess someone is.

It looks like Dan is posting his information on various forms where people have reported complaints. I hope those of you who are having issues will take him up on his offer to contact him directly and let us know how it goes. Perhaps this is a genuine effort to improve their reputation.

As for the anti-semitic garbage posted by the OP, I note that this was his last post on the forum, and he posted the same thing all over the Internet. Agenda maybe?

I buy a lot from those three companies as well, always been very happy with them. Midway tends to charge a lot for shipping, but they get orders sent out very quickly.

Wideners has very good prices on reloading components, although like most companies they have been very, very slow to ship orders this past year.

Funny you should mention.

A couple of years ago my wife got me a spotting scope ~ great price and prompt delivery.

Around the same time I tried to order something that I don't exactly recall but I think it was a rail adapter for HK ~ but I do remember never getting it and could never get them on the phone or reply via email after numerous attempts. Gave up but CC was never charged.

On a whim recently ordered some Tru Glo sights ~ great price and prompt delivery.

Ordered some more sights for a different gun ~ same result > great price and prompt delivery.

I actually threatened to kick the guys ass over the phone concerning an Emerson knife order they dicked up. That’s a first for me.

I too had previously ordered from them without complaint. I’ll never spend another penny of mine with them.

Didn't someone from Botach get busted by the feds a few years back for selling the wrong stuff to the wrong guys. Matbe I'm wrong but I'm quite sure it was the same motherfucker that screwed me on a $150 ammo order after I spent $10,000 on PPE from those bastards.

PD, let's keep it civil. The man asked, and he's getting answers. The truth will suffice. Let's all please state our case, and be mature about it.

I've been trying for 6 weeks to get a $52 refund from them for an item they never shipped. Finally just forwarding it to my cc and let them deal with the botach jokers.

If the item is in stock it seems to be ok, if it ends up being backordered it's basically... We keep your $ and ship you nothing.

OK, I will but Botach brings out the worst in me. A few years ago I had to purchase drop leg pouches for the FR40 mask. Botach had the lowest bid for equipping a few hundred officers. Several purchases amounted to right around $10K. Botach had the good sense not to fuck with money belonging to the state and Homeland Security.

However, it seemed as though I had developed a trustworthy relation with the person at the other end of the phone who asked me if I was interested in some .357 SIG ammo for myself as he knew that I do a lot of shooting. He said I could have it at the excellent price of $150 a case. (You can see how long ago this was). He was clever enough not to fuck with a government agency but he knew this was a personal purchase. He stroked me long enough knowing that the credit card company would not get involved after I waited 6 weeks to file a complaint.

Lesson learned: When a vendor charges you but has not shipped, notify the card company IMMEDIATELY.

I would have to spend some time searching but I do recall this guy (possibly a Botach family member) being arrested in Florida for scamming the feds.

We've got a purported botach rep posting here in an attempt to clear up some CS issues, and he posts a generic complaint email address?

I don't believe for a minute that 'Dan' is the only customer service rep for a company that serves many thousands of customers, so his "complaints@botachtactical.net" email address will in all likelihood leave you exactly where you are now.

If in the unlikely event 'Dan' is actually a rep, and wants to help folks here, he needs to give us some way to get a hold of him directly, and not get dumped into the same putrescent morass that the rest of the company's CS division.

BT still owes me deployment gear from 5 years ago, not to mention the fact that both times I've ordered from them, my debit card number got compromised within a week and was fraudulently used. PD seems to have hit the nail on the head--they will honor multi-thousand dollar orders from gov't entities, but if you're purchasing as an individual, you're rolling the dice.
