Another thing to consider, her office refused to file charges for over 1/3 of all the cases the St. Louis City cops applied for. So these cases her office is taking to court are the supposedly easy, slam dunk cases. I have talked to several St. Louis City cops who said the prosecutors are so new, inept, and/or "progressive" they are letting the defense run the show, no objections where there should be. A couple officers told me it got so bad that the Judge had to finally object.

UPDATE:

Federal judge dismisses St. Louis Circuit Attorney's lawsuit alleging 'racist conspiracy'

Quotes from the judge's ruling:
quote:
“Her 32-page complaint can best be described as a conglomeration of unrelated claims and conclusory statements supported by very few facts, which do not plead any recognizable cause of action.”

He continued: “Gardner presents no specific material facts, circumstantial or otherwise, to show that defendants acted with each other for the purpose of depriving her – or anyone else – of a constitutional right to equal protection. Her complaint is nothing more than a compilation of personal slights – none of which rise to a legal cause of action.”

Full ruling and article at the link above.

“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”

Oh, there's a racist conspiracy going on alright, and she's the ringleader.

Do---or do not.
There is no try.

From the news story:
----
Gardner filed the suit in January, accusing “entrenched interests” of intentionally impeding her efforts to reform racist practices in the criminal justice system, and alleged civil rights violations as well as violations of the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871.
----

She's trying to use a 149-year-old law that she'd barely be able to hang onto by a thread just to soothe her hurt feelings.

What's the penalty range for hurt feelings?
