Looks to me line they've been checking out the NASCAR stands for ideas... they've been using multicolored cutouts for years to make the stands appear better filled.

Way back when everyone stood for the Anthem and Brett Favre was a Jet, my wife surprised me with tickets to fly with a friend up to watch him play. They got pummeled by the Broncos, and Favre looked like he was going through the motions. However, we had great seats on the 50, and I remember being impressed with the speed of the game at the pro level.
