You know those things that are basically a metal strip sort of thing with little captive rollers that you can stick a piece of paper in to hold and pull it out sideways to remove?

What do you call those things and does anyone know where I can get some that aren't more than a few inches wide (for holding single sheets of paper that get changed out frequently)?

Right! Like for order tickets!

I wasn't thinking the springy kind (and I'm not sure that would do the job), but yeah. The other kind.

No, no. Like the other ones.

I need to easily hang sheets of paper (landscape orientation) from the front edge of a bookcase shelf. Right now, I'm using tape, but it's a PITA with as much as I switch them out. Thought these would be easier.

Problem is, the face of the shelf is 34"x1" and most of these are just too tall. Having trouble finding any sort of compact version now.

I'm not sure about what your looking for but I, and many other engineers I know, have used mounted metal strips with magnets to hold drawings in place.
