I am a massive fan of getting rid of the handout, but I’d go farther than just getting rid of handouts for illegals, I’d get rid of handouts entirely. Teddy Roosevelt is rumored to have said, “Root hog or die.” I think we’d all be a lot better off if we each worked to support ourselves (and those for whom we chose to provide charity) instead of having a massive cancerous government stealing from the productive to give handouts to the indolent.
