You guys know it's seven days, not six, right? It's six days and twelve and a half hours until Midnight EST, January 20th, 2017. It's more than another half a day beyond that before the inauguration takes place. Therefore, your counter should say seven days.

The term ends at noon EST on the 20th, IOW about 7 days and a few minutes from right now.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

not sure of the rational on this:

https://www.washingtonpost.com...m_term=.ca361023b679

The head of the D.C. National Guard, Maj. Gen. Errol R. Schwartz, said Friday that he has been ordered removed from his command effective Jan. 20, 12:01 p.m., just as Donald Trump is sworn in as president.

Schwartz’s forced departure will come in the midst of the presidential inauguration that he has spent months helping plan alongside D.C. police, the U.S. Secret Service and other top District officials. He will turn over command to an interim as power transfers from one president to the next, and just before the inaugural parade marches down Pennsylvania Avenue.

“The timing is extremely unusual,” Schwartz said in an interview Friday morning, confirming a memo announcing his ouster that was obtained by The Washington Post. During the inauguration, Schwartz would command not only the members of the D.C. guard but also an additional 5,000 troops sent in from across the country to help. He also would oversee military air support protecting the nation’s capital during the inauguration.

Schwartz said he would oversee duties in a command center and then depart at 12:01 p.m., retiring from the Army.

Unlike in states, where the governor appoints the National Guard commander, in the District that duty falls to the president.

Like every thing else, there are some that are not too smart or are trouble makers. So I am sure Donald wants the best running the show.
