^^^ I said this on the previous, but if you read the rules on the gofundme page, it says specifically NOT to do stuff like that as your donations will be refunded.

"• DO NOT MAKE DONATIONS IN CELEB/POLITICIAN NAMES - They will be refunded according to GFM"

I gave some money. Mostly to screw with all the hand wringers, and 100% to support Trump.

It is my opinion that multiple donations may have more meaning than one big one. That is:

If the wife and I were to make a $50 donation, it might look better that two people donated as opposed to one person.

Sure, American donated $1B from 1M people ($1,000 per person?) might get look at by the pols but how would it look if it were 10M people donating?

(176,000 people are averaging $60.90 each. Cut it to $30 each (one for each person in the house) and then that becomes 350K donators. Wink)

So the United States of America needs to fund a fucking bake sale for improvements to the southern border? When the numbers of illegal border crossers has decreased year over year? You folks need to actually read the numbers, and get a life.

Dems won back the House because some people decided to stay at home and not vote. 2020 better not be a repeat of Nov.

Piss off, lefty. No one wants to hear your bullshit rationalizations.

I didn't realize that there is a Braille version of the internet. How marvelous for sightless people such as yourself.

I love that this is pissing off leftists and causing them to make their weak-ass attempts to discourage those who want to see this nation protected. It's apparent that they are so frustrated over their inability to stop us. They can't bear to see us make an effort like this, which is puzzling given that they are telling us that we are wasting our time. Ain't that right, Dresden? Frustrating, huh? Poor thing.

I have a life. I work, eat, sleep, pray, and play. Playtime is pissing off socialists. Seems to be working.

Looks like it's time to donate.

Exactamundo!

We've finally started using social media against it's founders wishes, while they concentrate on "they'll never raise enough money" to missing the point that it gave the R in congress a push to get the wall appropriation in the bill.

Stick them with the bill? I don't think so. Say your neighbor builds a fence between your house and his. Then he comes over and hands you the bill. Are you going to pay it? Even if you thought the fence was a good idea would you pay it? I wouldn't.

If or when the wall gets built (or fence, or electronic monitoring system, or whatever) the US taxpayer is going to pay for it and no one else. What's good about that is that the taxpayer doesn't have to agree or disagree.

Oh, you're taking it literally. You thought Trump meant that the Mexican President was going to whip out one of those big checks like those Publisher Clearing House winners get and make it payable to the US Citizens.

I took it to mean that we would start to prevent the flow of US business into Mexico, taxing products coming out of Mexico, taxing cash being sent to Mexico, etc. You know, them really paying for it without writing a check.

Great idea. Lets show them Dems. where we stand. Why piss around with where to send the money? Just send it to The Donald. He will get it to the right place. After all he does donate his salary. I will be voting for him wall or no wall.

I don't fail to see that but if I have to read in to everything everyone says instead of taking them at their word things become difficult. I guess it's my problem but most people I deal with aren't that way, luckily.

If a bunch of stuff that's made in Mexico is heavily taxed before it gets here it either won't get here if people stop buying it or will be made somewhere else. For example, if a US multi-national's products get a lot more expensive to import they can just make them somewhere else, possibly.

I don't disagree with all of Trump's immigration plans (for example, I think the H-1B and other types of visas should be abolished) but I don't think the wall is a good idea.

Also, what's to stop all the gofundme money from ending up in someone's pocket?
