It certainly wouldn't be the first time that an appointee acted contrary to the goals of the administration and pursued their own agenda. I'm not saying that's happening here but it can't be dismissed out of hand. For now, I'm going with payback to the Clintons and other Democrat traitors because Barr has recused himself.

The MSM is already attempting to make a connection with Trump or anyone in his circle. Already mentioned on Fake News CNN were Kelly Ann Conway and Sarah Sanders. Yeah, they're working overtime. They discussed Bill Clinton for a moment and then went down a list of names in the Trump Administration that ever appeared in the same city as this creep.

As I said, I really do not care what party these monsters are in. And the MSM will not be able to sway the final results/facts of the investigation. I trust Berman (Trump SDNY appointee and a Republican) to get to the bottom of things and I want the people involved to spend the rest of their lives in jail. These are heinous crimes against children. Have you read the indictment? Epstein is a sick and twisted MF'er. I will bet you a dollar that 42 IS involved. Too many flights on the Lolita Express.

There appears to be some dispute regarding just when it was locked.

I'm not arguing Wikipedia is flawless, but it generally does a pretty decent job. Should it be regarded as the sole source for information? Certainly not. Nor should Encyclopedia Britannica.
