Obama was not only insensitive with his Ft. Hood shooting news conference, he was inaccurate.

Dr. Joe Medicine Crow is not a Medal of Honor recipient.

Obama, should know the difference between the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Freedom, especially since he personally awarded the Medal of Freedom to Dr. Crow in August.

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. Generally presented to its recipient by the President of the United States of America in the name of Congress, it is often called the Congressional Medal of Honor.

The Medal of Freedom is a decoration bestowed by the President of the United States by an act of Congress, the highest civilian award in the U.S. It recognizes those individuals who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."

"I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow (ph) was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It's good to see you."

Shout out to Joe.

Under this administration all "honors" will be interchangeable... since I doubt he knows the meaining of the word to begin with.

Wife and I were watching the news when he came out and made that address. We were in shock and thought his staff had not told him about the tradgedy at Ft. Hood at first. He just did his ole campain thank you's as if nothing had happened. We were surprised he didn't say "Oh, and by the way our hearts go out to". So unrespectful, The loss at Ft. Hood should have been the first words out of his mouth. Wow do we have a Comander in Chief or what?

Not even he would do that. Instead, at some point, he will probably invent his own military award for being a heroic Commander-in-Cheif, and then they'll have to re-do all those medal charts you see in basic training barracks halls and such. You know, the ones that show the medals and the rank insignias.

Instead of stars on a blue field, O's ribbon will be have that bright rainbow of colors, sort of like louis farrakhan's robes. And instead of being required to salute it, our soldiers will have to bow to it.

Okay, I think I just even myself sick.

Then there's that "winner" thing. Perhaps a medal that's bestowed by the President based on an act of the Congress of Clowns is something like winning a bidding war.

The Medal of Honor, however, is not "won" like a lottery prize, auction, game, or even a fight. The MoH is awarded, received, or—possibly—earned. This is a sore point that many MoH recipients have mentioned over the years, and it was even made in a movie, as I recall.

If the Obamanation truly meant what he said, it's just one more example of how clueless he and his puppet masters are.

what we have is a two-bit political activist whoi is way out of his league who had his current rental property bought and paid for by George Soros

I didn't see this news conference. Did he actually say he was giving a "shout out" at a news conference about the Ft. Hood tragedy?

Wow.

Wow.

Yes, yes he did. Roll Eyes In his "defense", it wasn't an official conference, he was doing some sort of Native American conference. But still, Capt. Professional is he.

He gives a "shout out...". Every time I hear him say that (several different occasions during his "speeches") it makes my skin crawl.

..................................................................................................................
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor - he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation - he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city - he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. ∑ Cicero, 42 B.C.

That was my first thought.

There was also his "gaffe" during the campaign where he stated "my Muslim faith", after which an aide tapped him "you mean your Christian faith, Christian faith".

Just another "oops" from the man who knows little about America, and cares even less.
