Back at the beginning of the year, I upgrade to a 63" Sammy plasma. Best thing I ever did, TV-wise.

I bought a 83" Mitsubishi 1080 rear projection HDTV years back.
When I bought it there were NO HDTV stations to watch. About a year after purchase Dishnetwork offered a HDTV sample station, it was a big deal to finally have something in HDTV to watch. Slowly actual HDTV channels began to appear.

The Mits has a great picture. Displays a full 4x3 format, and adjusts to a 16x9 for programming in that format.
A few times a year I separate the top from the bottom and crawl inside to clean the projectors and the mirror.
Never had a single problem with the TV.

52" DLP main and regular 24 " for back up.
DLP works great after a few early problems were fixed.

I'm watching a 27" Phillips CRT unit. I have an old 19" Sony Trinitron in my guest room, but it hasn't been used in years. (Would have to do a lot to route signals to it now.)

40" 1080p Toshiba LCD bought last Christmas, and a 30" 1080i WS Sanyo CRT bought in 2005.

Both going strong, except the CRT had its HDMI port fried by a lightning strike. =/

Probably should get rid of it, since it gets no use in the bedroom. If I had more space to rearrange my bedroom so I could watch the TV, I'd consider getting an external hard drive and another XBox to load up with all my TV series so I could stream them.

I've got two LCD's, a 42" Westinghouse 1080p (over a year) and a 28" Hanspree 720p (about two years). Both have been great.

Prehistoric (1980) 26" Mitsubishi CRT. Used nearly every day for 30 years. Works just fine.

Main TV is a Samsung Widescreen HDCRT. I have had it for 3 years. Works great.

Bathroom is an Element LCD (Circuit City's house brand I believe).

All the rest are old school CRT TVs.

CRT. It might be a Toshiba? It looks small by todays standards.

I dunno I haven't looked at it in a long time. Last time it was on was for the last hour of the super bowl. Before that, a few innings of the 2007 MLB Allstar game. Before that... the last 10 minutes of the 2007 Superbowl. Roll Eyes

Old-fashioned CRT, but we don't use it much, and I very rarely watch it. No cable or satellite, either, by choice.

We have the same 32" Sony that my wife bought before we got married. It is almost 15 years old, has been through 3 moves and had water poured in it once.

I bought my 32" Samsung 1080p television some eight months ago and I did not regret the purchase. The picture quality in standard definition in which my local cable company only provides is superb and it is even more pleasurable when I watch movies in my blu ray player. Playing Call of Duty on Wii is also very nice. All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase and have not encountered any problem so far. I was torn between Sony and Samsung initially but in the end, I settled for the latter because of its quality and price. It is definitely one of the best LCD TV money can buy.

I had a tube until about 2 weeks ago when I finally broke down and bought an LCD.

So far I'm happy with it.
